🇪🇺 The new trend in Europe now is building new houses with tiny windows, so that they stay cool and don't need to install or use AC to cool them "Less sunlight = less heat = less cooling = less energy use" is their thinking But there's a reason people buy modern design villas that are floor to ceiling glass (I did) You want as much sunlight as possible coming in for your health, because your circadian rhythm depends on it, improving your sleep quality so you produce melatonin at the right time and fall asleep easily and stay asleep all night Sunlight also affects your mood of course, it heavily boosts serotonin and decreases symptoms of depression Having wide views of the sky, nature or ocean also have a measurable effect on lowering your stress So Europe is now building houses with tiny windows all so they don't need to install AC, while the new home owner inside will slowly become miserable, stressed, depressed, start sleeping bad and as a second order effects of that become sick (but of course then you can sell them pills) The conclusion is the same I had during the ongoing heatwave in Europe where tens of thousands of people are still dying every month because they're not allowed to install AC: Europe now cares more about energy use than people's lives Degrowth is a completely delusional cult affecting all of Europeans lives now!

Not everything needs to be an AI agent. If the steps are predictable, build a workflow. If the path depends on reasoning, build an agent. Most production AI systems end up being hybrids. Knowing where to draw the line is an architectural skill.

I feel I have it all in life. Or not? Making money on my own, a loving wife, a loving family, a purpose, free time, no boss, no VC. But … My dad is having mental issues from his past drug lord adventures. I can’t make a baby and am not sure why yet. I have a high chance of getting cancer in my 50s, looking at my lineage. My point is: we often compare ourselves to the best of others, but rarely their reality. Maybe you want my MRR, but do you want my reality too? Comparing yourself leads only to sadness :) Enjoy your own path.

@SlamingDev @Zoeillle @powl_d Beaucoup de proches m´ont fait hésiter avec cette histoire de sièges ventilés. Je viens de faire 400 bornes sans , et j’ai absolument jamais eu chaud en pleine canicule. J’entends que ce soit agréable , mais avoir moins chaud que pas avoir chaud , c’est quand même surcôté.

Bon… mon Model Y Prop de 2023 a 50 000 km. Je l’avais acheté 40 990 €. Hier, en discutant avec un vendeur Tesla, il me dit : « Paulo, c’est peut-être le moment de changer. » J’ai refait les calculs… et il avait raison. • Reprise Tesla : 25 800 € • Bonus reprise Tesla : 5 000 € • Prime CEE : 3 600 € (jusqu’à 5 700 € si on le met au nom de ma mère, qui est éligible et c’est elle qui le roule principalement). Au total, ça ferait 36 500 € d’avantages. Model Y neuf : 40 990 € ➡️ Reste seulement 4 490 € à sortir. Franchement… je pense que la semaine prochaine, ça passe à l’action. 👀

We got a couple of cheap robot lawn mowers for our garden recently (which are on schedule) and also got a solar panel for one of them. We were joking that in some Last Of Us scenario somebody will come across our by then ruin of a house but the front lawn will look perfect 😀
