Here we go with another reckless Ben/BAM esque situation. In Taylor Texas, a chaotic city council meeting erupted after leaders blindsided a packed room of citizens.
Former mayor Dwayne Areola took a job with a data center company and appointed his friend Jim Buzan to a charter commission. Buzan cast the tie breaking vote to ban public recalls while running to succeed Areola as mayor, stripping accountability power right before approving a controversial $10M AI data center on a donated public park from an 83 year old man.
When 1400 residents showed up to protest, the council met behind closed doors and disqualified their petition via Facebook right before the meeting. The mayor then skipped town on vacation, leaving a stand in to take the heat.

In typical Bricks and Minifigs fashion, corporate recently has sent a cease and desists letter to a former BAM franchisee.
The video reveals a termination letter from Bricks & Minifigs corporate to Gabe, a Florida franchisee. The host claims corporate allows owners to temporarily skip rent or royalties, only to log those defaults and use them as leverage later.
When Gabe's store became highly profitable with valuable inventory, corporate used these past infractions to immediately terminate his contract. They hit him with $163,000 in sudden back fees and liquidated damages.
At what point will people acknowledge this may be a horrible business with egregious contractual obligations.

But Congress has proposed all states extend DST permanently into winter, which would make sunrises dangerously late.

@DrewVento I really miss 24 hour Walmarts.
My girlfriend once broke her glasses at ten minutes to 11pm. I needed superglue. Our local Walmart closes at 11. Target, local grocery stores and pharmacies all closed by 10pm.
I had to drive 20 minutes each way to find a Ralph’s that was open.

This increases the capacity of the parks.
Now we can sell more tickets.

@NPR_Neil @MarioNawfal You are correct. It is voter suppression. I fully support voter suppression. Voter suppression is a good thing. We should absolutely suppress the non-citizen vote. And the deceased vote. And the fraud vote.

@MarioNawfal Get your facts straight, while voter id is supported by over 80% of citizens, the SAVE act is not in its current form. It is nothing more than voter supression because of the materials it requires. There are also already rules against non citizens voting.
