My Asian friend and his wife say that their brown friends here in SoCal are always on edge, nervous looking, competitive with each other. But the Whites like myself are more relaxed and easy to be around. But they are in LA. My Mexican friends from Orange County are chill. Not sure if race and/or region of Southern California affects personality within Southern California.

Men from SoCal and the deep south have an easygoing way about them that the high-strung neurotic yankee and midwesterner can only ape. It's a feature of the climates.
