Si j'ai un conseil à donner à tous les gens qui ont une relation malsaine avec le jeu, c'est de diversifier leurs centres d'intérêts. Le problème vient du fait que vous êtes trop investi émotionnellement dans une activité dont le bon déroulement ne dépend pas que de votre propre performance. Si par exemple, vous êtes sportif ou musicien, vous prenez votre instrument, vous pratiquez, vous vous améliorez et ça se ressent dans vos résultats. Vous êtes récompensé pour vos efforts, c'est valorisant. Sur LoL, vous pouvez vous entraîner rigoureusement et jouer à un très bon niveau, avant de vous faire rundown par un type, insulter par un autre, tout ça pour être sanctionné d'une perte de LP. C'est hyper frustrant et violent, surtout que les LP sont une forme de statut social. La plupart des gens ressentent de la fierté par rapport à leur elo, et en perdre une partie devient insupportable. Trouvez-vous une passion réconfortante sur le côté, un truc auquel vous pouvez revenir si vous avez passé un mauvais moment sur LoL. Idéalement, un domaine non compétitif qui peut être une sorte de safe space, un truc qui vous apaise quand le jeu vous rend fou. Ca peut être le cinéma, la salle de sport, l'écriture, le dessin, n'importe quoi, même juste jouer à d'autres jeux. Y a des centaines de possibilité. Faites simplement en sorte de ne pas avoir que LoL dans votre vie

The guy probably improved but the point is it's more profitable to spam games than try to improve with fewer

@NAAAYIL @drewlevin Before, your gain of LP was reduced the more you were closer to the max LP you could theoretically reach. Now, you can still gain the same LP at your peak than during your grinding. It's good for people with low nb of game or low ELO. It's not for Apex Tier.

quoting to answer because I think more people will be interested in this we try to balance MMRs within and across teams. we're a week into fully truncating the long right tail of our MMR distribution. as people (like you) push that distribution to the right again, the system continues to try to make fair games with the people available. let's have Master 1 LP equal +1 as an arithmetic value in the following. your opgg shows you at +749 (GM 749 LP). let's say you have a team of you (+749) three people at +30 one slot open so right now this sums to 839 (this is oversimplifying for the sake of the conversation, we care about more factors than MMR, but let's focus on this for now and accept that we are not just doing addition and subtraction when matchmaking, we care about multiple factors). if there isn't anyone around you and the best options for the highest MMR player for the team on the other side are Agurin (+1477) or a +400 Master player (and then let's say there's plenty of +30 Master players), the matchmaker - again, oversimplifying, but close enough - has two options: 1. put someone on your team that is functionally -350 (d4 50 LP), or 2. put someone(s) on enemy team that are functionally -725 (this is the theoretical case for how you get emeralds in games with challengers) this is obviously non-ideal from a match quality perspective (and part of "match quality will be pretty rough after apex reset"), and I would expect that this kind of MMR range is not what you get on an insta-pop. as the ranks of high apex fill out, this problem will naturally subside, because the matchmaker will go from having very few people with larger disparities between them (you, Agurin, etc) to having more people in a tighter top-to-bottom MMR range in a given lobby, such that the disparity between e.g. you and Agurin could be smoothed by giving you more mid-master players rather than having to reach below Master 0 LP to even the numbers out trying to preemptively answer some frustrations/questions I can imagine you having: 1. "why not implement a cutoff at some point where you just don't accept Diamond or Emerald people into Master+ games at all?" plausible, but it's all a continuous distribution on the backend and there's an algorithm that governs "how quickly should the matchmaker look for a wider range of MMRs as wait times go up?" (because otherwise people would die waiting in queue for the perfectly matchmade game of 10 GM 749 LP players) 2. "the skill function of the right tail of the distribution is nonlinear, you can't just take an emerald 4 50 LP person and pair them with a GM 750 player to 'even out' the disparity vs two Master 0 LP players" sure, this is the argument for percentile-based matchmaking, although you still end up having to make assumptions about the shape of the very right tail of the distribution and there are fractal levels of nuance (role agency is a pretty simple example of how that nuance can mess things up - getting to have the GM 750 jungler + emerald 4 support on your team versus flipping those role assignments likely leads to different outcomes, but also carry junglers versus tank junglers, yadda yadda lots of stuff matters) hope this helps, sorry I wrote a mini blog post but I promise we're not just fucking around throwing darts over here

@drewlevin The games look really bad just scrolling through opgg. It's like chain dying 13+ almost every game. Which is what happens when a new player plays with established players. Which is why it's suggested to make a new acc and do bare minimum to bring a new player.

Capcom needs to do more research before partnering with content creators, if they want to avoid backlash. I really don't think that a transgender woman with a history of adult video creation should be featured for playing a wholesome game with a child character. Now, personally, I don't think there is generally anything wrong with adult content as long as it's legal, sane, and consensual... but there are certain "spaces" where these kinds of people should stay out of. For example, people like Suzi should never be allowed to be an elementary school teacher or in other professions where the "intersection" of degenerate sexual content can be problematic. In this case, it's not direct contact with real children, but it's still public promotion of child-adjacent content by someone whose past work is overtly sexual for what Capcom is marketing as family-friendly adjacent sci fi adventure game... In addition to the content listed below with redacted titles, Suzi has produced over 7 more videos, for which the person is regretful of producing. There is already enough drama these days in the "trans" space with "trans kids" and various other content in that sphere that is highly problematic whenever children are involved. Now, I get that Suzi has rebranded themselves as the "wholesome" streamer and content creator, but AV content production isn't something you get to wipe away.
