@PaulaCoyscot It is a privilege for white western women to be able to choose to say what they like and what they wear, yes. This is what we should be striving for for *all* women.

@BriannaWu Now post a candid shot of yourself. I don't think you look anything like the picture you've posted. Testosterone had worked on you just fine.

The difference between real trans and fake trans is anyone suffering from actual gender dysphoria would take a cure instantly. Every day feels like you’re dying. But it’s also silly to pretend I could pass as a normal male at this point even if I wanted to. Which I do not. I’m much happier like this. What do y’all want to do, force me into surgery to remove my breast implants? Hunt me down every week and forcibly inject testosterone, which barely worked on me in the first place? I have a vagina. I can’t even speak below 140 Hz anymore. I meet men literally all the time which I take as a sign of passing well. It’s a silly, dehumanizing conversation. Transitioning is the only treatment we have proven to work.

@neco_arctic @rustynew386 Practically, you are men dressed up and possibly medically treated to appear female. If that results in you earning less than other men then that's your issue.

@rustynew386 It would be great to make as much money as men do, but discrimination doesn't look at your genes, it looks at who you are practically, and practically, we are women.

@BradfemlyWalsh @hickunderrated We don't have those throat sounds in English so I think it sounds odd if not anglicised when speaking English, especially with a name which is commonly known - it just sounds pretentious.

@hickunderrated How is it stupid to pronounce someone's surname correctly? I'm not going to pretend it's Van Goff when I know it isn't, that's me dumbing down and I don't see why I should.

Dear fellow people who can speak other languages: is it pretentious to pronounce foreign words right? Like, I don't want to say 'Van goff' or 'Van Go' for Van Gogh, because that's not how it's said but do I sound a dick if I say Fon Hockh with the throat sound?

The leader of the Lib Dems, and the leader and deputy leader of the Green party, think some women have penises. In itself, it seems like a relatively unimportant matter. But it is symptomatic of a contempt for science and evidence-based truth. Could you vote for a flat-Earther?

Way too many TERFs are prepared to sacrifice access to abortion and reproductive healthcare, while pairing with far right Christian conservative orgs to spite trans women. In coming for us you've set women's rights back 50 years. Well done.
Pauline Hanson 🇦🇺@PaulineHansonOz

When Parliament returns, One Nation will reintroduce our bill to acknowledge biological reality. If this had been supported in the last Parliament, the injustice of the Giggle v Tickle case would never have happened. One Nation will always fight for the rights of women to stand up against trans ideology.

@RichardDawkins There was an excellent film about flat-earthers, some of them had the curiosity to design experiments to test their theory (unsurprisingly it showed not flat). These MPs know full well they are lying, so it's actually worse.

@SarahTheHaider So I've read the updated version. The man sold his daughter to a "relative" who paid enough money to feed the family for four years. What kind of relative has money to pay a family to survive for years but doesn't just help them in some way?

@SarahTheHaider So there's men with sufficient money that a single payment to buy a child will keep the family alive for years. Yet apparently no money to pay the fathers to do useful work. This makes zero sense.

This has real practical implications for wanting to search specifically for female MSPs on the parlliament website and with the filters now removed, their representation is obsured. Bonkers.

@JeanHatchet @BBCRadio4 In the clip I see the man was selling his ill daughter to someone who could pay for her medical treatment with the proviso that she'll marry the buyers son when they are of age. The father had no way of paying for the medicines and treatment the girl needed.

Why have I just listened to a report on @BBCRadio4 which detailed men selling their daughters in Afghanistan - one as young as 5 - to other men. The constructed narrative being sympathetic to the MEN! They are apparently suffering because of economic sanctions so … how could they be expected to do anything else? The reporter feeling so sorry for them and their little stories. Fuck these men and fuck the female reporter telling their story. Afghanistan is subject to sanctions because of the evil regime and partly because of the way it treats women. Imagine if you weren’t abject, woman-hating cowards selling girls and instead you grew a pair and fought the fucking Taliban. That was disgusting.

@NoSecretLessons @MrMennoTweets @unherd I would imagine those tears are for herself. I agree that it's unreasonable to expect members of a cult to guide a way out. They can explain the appeal and what helped them get out (if they are out). People who were never captured need to lead how to remove the ideology.

There was extensive, lighthearted banter about her porn career. And a couple of gentle questions from the moderator about whether she was a victim who had been groomed into porn - but never an outright proposition that she was herself a dangerous indoctrinator of kids (if not intentionally, then at least by default of her activities and being in the cult herself). And this is what made the event a hollow titillation rather than the serious debate it was billed as. Tbf Bindel unflinchingly expressed her total disapproval of the porn industry whilst Buck partially defended it from a libertarian pov and this seemed to be the main debate point of the evening. However, Buck was very much painted as being heroically against child transition and she lamented the social media spread of trans indoctrination in the mainstream… but they avoided dealing with her own part as a conduit of that in the past, which I think is unforgivably sanitising. Just as everyone glossed over Hayton’s role in shaping union policy to promote trans rights and his continued job as a teacher. When Buck cried and said she could have realised and spoken out earlier about child harms sooner, I felt a more profound upset was taking place… was she now aware of the damage she had done? Or was she crying for the irreversible abuse she received herself? Not sure. And this is the problem with leaning on people to be a witness to this problem when they have a serious mental disorder and have been through this particular mill; they are rarely totally free of cult ideology themselves and are still trapped in the damage they have done to their own body and the influence they have been to others, with no path out of that, and so must fashion a sustainable but compromised identity that works for them, whilst still needing society to make room for their extreme self harming actions at the hands of abusive doctors. For example Buck explained that she cannot reasonably use the ladies loo and Bindel stepped in to say ‘it’s absolutely fine for women who pretend to be men to use the men’s, it’s just men who are a problem in women’s loos’ - actually no, Julie, men (and especially boys in schools) should be entitled to their spaces too without deception. We cannot award ‘rights’ to people based on their self harm - that way leads us all to madness.

Well I’ve just dragged myself through the Buck and Bindel cabaret act at @unherd… and apart from learning that (wouldn’t you know) the pornified, fetishistic BDSM online world causes people all sorts of problems - including dragging children into the transgender cult - what did we actually learn about the potential solutions? Nothing really. Buck did cry when she thought about the abuse of medicating kids who say they’re trans, and suggested that perhaps she could have spoken out about that sooner… whilst Bindel wrung her hands at all the misogyny and homophobia and child abuse in the world… But did either of them say: ‘…and that is why we must (at the very least) remove British children from the Protected Characteristic of Gender Reassignment NOW, because it effectively gives them the status of a self-identifying adult transsexual and this is fooling public services into socially transitioning them’? Did they recommend: ‘…we have to get trans identifying adults away from schools, charities and positions of authority where they can groom kids and other adults into their cult’? Did they warn everyone that: ‘…we need to undo the devastating effect of the Gillick competency ruling, that erodes parental responsibilty and effectively lowers the age of consent to medication’? And likewise the digital age of consent being set at 13 is way too low? Or did they identify that international human rights have been hi-jacked by transgender activists via the Yogyakarta Principles then wrongly applied to children in the UNCRC and various UN and WHO standards, which means we should withdraw from these corrupt orgs? No. They did not. Their thoughts were all about how to end the mean culture war (which apparently has extremists on both sides, according to Bindel, who worries that ‘trad wives’ are being homophobic about gender stereotypes when men wear feminine clothes), whether porn is or isn’t ethically acceptable and which loo Buck uses. Meanwhile, everyone closely observed and questioned Buck as she clearly attempted to unravel and make impossible sense of a life of considerable abuse, hardship and extremity in real time for everyone’s curiosity. I remain unconvinced any of this was illuminating. So for goodness sake ladies, if you really care about stopping abuse, just get over your theorising about gay history and gay rights and TruTrans identity and the ethics of porn, and just help get the kids safe by calling for the obviously essential repeal of gender laws in the UK.
