Why did Sweden end up with the FDI, do they need a frigate at all, wouldn't buying Swedish be better, what did they change and why, and why can't the Nordics find a common frigate design? All of this, and a picture of HMS Göta Lejon, over on the blog. corporalfrisk.com/2026/05/25/a-f…

Doing some reading into the attempts to pretend that current levels of immigration are nothing new. This bizarre BBC educational resource keeps referring to 'mass immigration' in the 19th century. The whole point of the idea of 'mass immigration' is that it's historically unprecedented, which it is. Using this term anachronistically is a clear attempt to mislead. None of the examples they give are examples of mass immigration. Several are not even examples of immigration at all!

Who are our judges? I mean really… who are these people? Who do they think they are? 😡 Children cry out for discipline in schools. Now they cry out for justice in the streets. The adults have left the room.😩 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/2…

These men are tall, strong and handsome with perfect heart of hair, great skin and strong physique. They’re perfectly matched with these women. You just wish those women were into you, but they’re not you’re old. Get over it.
Fendigaid@fendigaid

@DukeHerndon The stark physical difference between young men and young women of the same age is severely understated. Relationships with significant age gaps are very obviously biologically advantageous.

Not until the generation that presided over the past 20 years of inaction are no longer either directly in power or setting the tone as senior journalists/grandees/think tank patrons, at the very least.

At what point do we stop calling it the cost of living crisis and just accept that years of anemic economic growth has caught up with our expectations for a decent life. Forget what life was like before, our great national failures are catching up to us.

Modern secular Britain increasingly feels like a nation that believes every moral, social, and cultural challenge can be solved through fiscal incentives alone. They are measurable, technocratic, and morally “neutral” — the language the modern state is most comfortable speaking.

@Soerings I mean, one of the issues with Swedish admirals is that even among the heroes who have received ships named after them, the bios of roughly half of them end with a paragraph about how they went down with their ships when the Danes utterly crushed them in this or that battle 😅

This is what happens when a man reaches his mid-30s with no wife or family and is still obsessed with chasing women. He becomes envious of high school boys and their dating pools, then starts making ridiculous, cherry-picked scenarios about why he “needs” to take their age mates away from them

Average young man in prom photos looks like a baby faced, lanky guy. Average young woman in prom photos looks like she’s ready to seduce a senator at a cocktail party in a Bond movie.

This sentencing isn’t a violation of the sentencing system - it’s the natural outcome of guidelines which explicitly treat characteristics which mean someone poses more risk as mitigating.

This is a harrowing and brave testimony. The girls at the heart of this case have shown extraordinary bravery and strength in heinous circumstances. This is an appalling case and it is right that law officers are urgently reviewing the sentences. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

There could be more than words, such as compensation for the victims. Teen girls and younger seem to be a group in the UK that is systematically betrayed by authorities. The harrowing stories of the groomed gang abuses, for instance, where large numbers of girls were abused by middle aged men…and systematically ignored by authorities. Probably if the assets of all the abusers and their networks had also been transferred to the women, like all the shops, then it might have been a beginning of justice rather than what happened If the forty year old men thought they might lose their homes, businesses and cars…maybe they’d feel actual punishment rather than local councils that seemed more interested in not “offending” the men

I just can’t imagine having the absolute brass neck to serve in government and publish a report on the state of the nation that blames ✨the computers✨ for entirely analogue social problems. It’s the ultimate abdicating admittance that you don’t have the will to solve them.
