If you guys want to learn how blockchains work, then there are amazing technical voices like @toly and @keoneHD @0xdoug and @jayantkrish @jarxiao and @heliuslabs you should follow. I’ve learned a ton from them. But I come from sales/trading and I simply realized everything was too slow – and the tradeoffs meant we would never get close to Nasdaq matching. How fast prices can be updated/canceled will be the first question asked by the next wave of serious trading entrants. (The implementation details or how the chain got there, is largely irrelevant to them.) And the hard truth is, the response of 100’s of milliseconds and no CoLo will get us laughed out of the room. @DouroLabs is the our engineering Labs and @0xdoug is on the app layer. I partnered with them as they’re the best when it comes to combining blockchain and trading expertise – and because they’re genuine people that tell it like it is, and deliver. Any engineers wanting to debate me (on something other than @FogoChain getting closer to the block times we are committed to) you win.
