A major boost for @isro’s semi-cryogenic engines! IIT Bombay and LPSC have developed Rainbow Schlieren Deflectometry (RSD) a clever optical technique to solve a tough rocket science problem. In these engines, high-temperature gaseous oxygen must completely condense into freezing liquid oxygen before entering the main pump. If any gas pockets remain, the pump can fail. Previously, measuring this rapid heat transfer meant inserting physical probes that disrupted the fluid flow. Now, RSD uses light to visually map these extreme temperature changes instantly without touching the fluid at all. This breakthrough gives engineers the precise data needed to design safer, more efficient propulsion systems for India's future launch vehicles. #ISRO #SpaceTech #IITBombay #CryogenicEngine

#WATCH | In a major boost for Indian defence forces, private sector firm Nibe Limited has successfully carried out the firing demonstration of the Suryastra rockets of 150 km and 300 Km range in ITR Chandipur Orissa. The rockets achieved CEP of 1.5 meters and 2 meters respectively during the firing trials. This demonstration is part of the procurement order placed by Indian Army on the company: Nibe Limited (Source: Nibe Limited)

This is such a good channel ❤️ I haven't followed any courses yet, but I often end up watching 1hr+ length videos that seems interesting to me. They also have certificates and courses at IIRS if you want to explore.

Humbled to share that we successfully test fired 4 semi-cryogenic rocket engines simultaneously, as a cluster. All the 4 engines are 3d printed as single pieces of hardware - designed and manufactured in-house at AgniKul Cosmos Rocket Factory - 1. As with all our propulsion systems, these 4 engines are also powered by electric motor driven pumps. This test involved calibrating 8 pumps, 8 motors and tuning 8 speed control algorithms to work together in perfect sync to achieve uniform startup, steady state and shutdown performance across the entire system. As with the last cluster test, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time such a test has been performed in India with semi cryogenic engines. We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be building world class, original space technology from India, for the world with the support of @iitmadras @isro and @INSPACeIND From here on, the addition of engines to our clusters will likely increase non-linearly. #Agnibaan #RocketEngineCluster #ElectricPumpFedEngines #Agnilet #SinglePieceEngine #3dprinting #RocketEngineTest #AdditiveManufacturing #Agnikul #AgnikulCosmos #StartupIndia #MakeinIndia #madeinIndiaForTheWorld @srinathr155 @moin_spm @satchakra_iitm @iitmadras @iitmrp @IITMIC @tdbgoi @IndiaDST @ANRFIndia @TIDCO_1965 @startupindia @TheStartupTN @Guidance_TN @startup_mission @SIPCOTTN

@isro has issued a new NOTAM, designated A1666/26, for an aerial survey to be conducted by the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) over the SDSC-SHAR region. The survey operations will be enforced daily starting on May 21, 2026, and concluding on June 4, 2026. During this period, the designated airspace will be active between 03:30 UTC and 11:30 UTC, which corresponds to 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM IST. #ISRO #NRSC #NOTAM #SDSC #SHAR #Sriharikota #AerialSurvey

ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 Vikram lander made this new discovery during its "hop" experiment, revealing hidden secrets about the Moon's South Pole! When the lander reignited its engines to hop 50 cm, the exhaust acted like a giant blower, stripping away the top 3 cm of loose dust and exposing a distinct, two-layer "cake-like" structure underneath. Data from the ChaSTE probe revealed that the lunar regolith becomes surprisingly dense and grippy just centimeters down: bulk density doubles from 750 to 1600 kg m⁻³ and cohesion spikes from 300 to 1600 Pa, meaning the soil quickly shifts from feeling like dry flour on the surface to stiff clay at just 6.5 cm deep. This hyper-porous top layer acts as a crucial "thermal blanket" that regulates solar heat during the harsh lunar twilight. The ultimate outcome? This successful hop masterfully demonstrates the technology needed for future sample-return missions, while the new thermophysical data provides the exact blueprint scientists need to locate subsurface water-ice and safely engineer permanent human habitats on the Moon! #ISRO #Chandrayaan3 #SpaceScience #MoonMission Source: isro.gov.in/Chandrayaan_3H…
