This cannot be called a regular press release from the UNC. It reads more like a damage-control exercise for the United Naga Council. When representatives from Tamenglong and Chandel rejected the agenda set in Ukhrul, and those from Senapati chose to remain neutral, the Ukhrul delegates were left with no alternative but to bite the dust. That explains why the meeting concluded without any substantive discussion. As per insider information, the WAR MANDATE agenda was indeed tabled in the meeting. However, the cabinet had to drop the agenda after many representatives from Tamenglong and Chandel refused to support it. The UNC’s press release appears to be little more than an attempt to manage the fallout within the UNC. @ukhrultimes @LIANGMAIPOST @khanuithotkhon @TheSangaiExpres @PoknaphamNews @meiteiheritage @debanishachom @BikramjitMK @Paari_Athouba @koubru_lakpa @laimacha @ManipurFirst

🚨From Sheltered Refugees to Seditious Terrorists: India's Ungrateful Burmese Refugees🚨 In 1991, several hundred Burmese Kacha Naga refugees sought shelter in Manipur & Mizoram. In January 1992, an additional 1500 Burmese Kacha Naga Refugees sought shelter again & the Govt of India granted them permission to stay. In 2000, UNHCR rejected the Refugee plea of NSCN-IM's supremo Th.Muivah, citing his direct complicity & NSCN-IM's role in Commiting war crimes against Kukis in the 1990s Genocide. Despite the Govt of India granting asylum to thousands of these Burmese Kacha Naga refugees & the UNHCR later blacklisting their supremo Th. Muivah & NSCN-IM for historical war crimes, 30 years later, these Burmese refugees & rejected-refugee has the audacity to call the Indian Army ILLEGALS & wage war against the country that granted them refuge.

Such blatant calls for Genocide must not be ignored. @manipur_police Act now! @LokBhavManipur @YKhemchandSingh @KipgenNemcha

The self-styled King Leishemba Sanajaoba @MaharajaManipur of 650sqkms, known as Manipur, who declared the independence of Manipur with his foreign-based secessionist colleagues Narengbam Samarjit and Yambem Biren on October 29, 2019. He supported and funded Meitei secessionist narco-terrorists PLA, UNLF, and other like-minded secessionist narco-terrorists who carried out anti-India campaigns from Myanmar. He formed Arambai Tenggol with ex-Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh @NBirenSingh to carry out an anti-India campaign within Manipur's 650sqkms. Though he acted tough like a lion within Manipur's 650sqkms, he's just another normal Meitei schoolboy in front of the headmaster (Hon'ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji) 🤣 @debanishachom @BikramjitMK @Paari_Athouba @meiteiheritage @koubru_lakpa @Lombanaidabi @Paari_Athouba @TheSangaiExpres @PoknaphamNews @ukhrultimes @LIANGMAIPOST @tangkhulnews

Social media activity from the NSCN- Eastern Flank cadres killed on Palm Sunday confirms that they were the ones who murdered Thengin & Thangboi. Tangkhuls in Ukhrul had no motive to kill Kukis. But these NSCN-EF cadres? They’ve been losing a war to KNA(B) in Myanmar for years. This is a classic case of pro-junta groups venturing into India to settle Burmese scores on innocent Kukis. They brought their Burmese blood feud into India to kill two innocent Kuki boys who had nothing to do with NSCN vs KNA-B. #Manipur @HMOIndia @PMOIndia @AmitShahOffice @easterncomd @Spearcorps @official_dgar

1 of the 4 Naga Militants of NSCN(EF) killed by NSCN(IM) can be seen firing towards Kuki villages. NSCN(EF) is Myanmar based group with Chinese control . NSCN(IM) is in ceasefire with Government of Indian while NSCN(EF) is not, that’s why NSCN(EF) militants were attacking villages even after NSCN(IM ) said no to any attacks , that was the reason NSCN(IM) leadership from Hebron gave order for killing NSCN(EF) cadres, Same NSCN(EF) cadres were also extorting money from villages and vehicles. #manipur #ukhrul

PRESS RELEASE: IDPWCC Condemns Statement of Manipur Home Minister on IDP Return Situation. The Internally Displaced Persons Welfare Committee Churachandpur (IDPWCC) strongly condemns the recent statement made by Govindas Konthoujam, Hon’ble Home Minister of Manipur, claiming that “many families are now in a position to return". This statement is misleading, insensitive, and disconnected from the ground realities faced by thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). IDPWCC would like to place the following facts before the public and the government: 1. Lack of Stakeholder Representation: At both the State and District levels, the Resettlement and Rehabilitation Committees have been constituted without the inclusion of key stakeholders, particularly representatives from IDP committees across affected districts. This exclusion undermines transparency, accountability, and participatory decision-making in matters directly affecting displaced communities. 2. Inadequacy of PMAY-G Housing Assistance: Under the Special PMAY-G scheme, the sanctioned amount of ₹3 lakh for housing is grossly insufficient to construct a safe and livable home in present conditions. It is deeply concerning that even government school toilet constructions are being sanctioned at costs exceeding ₹4 lakh, highlighting the inadequacy and disparity in allocation for displaced families’ rehabilitation. 3. Neglect of Non-Camp IDPs: More than 4,000 IDP families, in Churachandpur District, who are not residing in designated relief camps (non-camped IDPs) have been completely excluded from relief measures since May 2023. These families continue to suffer without access to basic assistance, reflecting a serious gap in the government’s relief policy. Demand for Fair Compensation and Comprehensive Rehabilitation: IDPWCC demands that the government ensure fair and just compensation for all affected IDPs, comparable to provisions extended to other displaced communities such as the Bru and Kashmiri Pandits. Compensation must be based on current market value in accordance with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. Additionally, IDPWCC demands: Free ration support for three years at the rate of ₹150 per person per day Monthly stipend of ₹10,000 per family Housing Building Assistance (HBA) of ₹10 lakh Fixed deposit support of ₹8 lakh per family Reservation/priority quota for IDPs in all government employment IDPWCC reiterates that the situation on the ground is far from conducive for safe and dignified return. Any narrative suggesting otherwise not only trivializes the suffering of IDPs but also delays meaningful rehabilitation efforts. The Committee urges the Government of Manipur to engage in sincere dialogue with IDP representatives and take immediate corrective measures to ensure justice, dignity, and sustainable rehabilitation for all displaced persons. PRESS RELEASE Subject: Concern Over Reported Incidents in Litan Sareikhong and Adjoining Areas The undersigned expresses serious concern over the recent developments in Litan Sareikhong and its adjoining areas, where multiple incidents of firing and civilian endangerment have been reported on 19 March 2026. Based on information received from local sources, a series of coordinated incidents involving armed Tangkhul groups have taken place across several locations, raising apprehensions about escalation and public safety. The sequence of reported incidents is as follows: At approximately 3:15 PM, armed individuals reportedly opened fire in the vicinity of Mullam, affecting local farmers and injuring one individual whose identity is yet to be confirmed. The incident led to retaliatory firing, resulting in panic among civilians in the area. In a separate incident around the same time, civilians from Shongphel engaged in electrical repair work near the bordering areas of Shongphel and Sinaikheithel were reportedly fired upon by armed Tangkhul volunteers, further heightening fear among local residents. Around 4:00 PM, another reported incident along the Leplen–Saikul road between Leplen and Tingpibung involved firing directed at civilian commuters by armed Tangkhul volunteers, causing damage to vehicles and leaving several individuals stranded amidst ongoing tensions. Additionally, at approximately 7:00 PM in the Litan Sareikhong sector, reports indicate that armed Tangkhul volunteers opened fire toward the Mongkot Chepu area using automatic weapons, resulting in ongoing exchanges and heightened instability. The incidents outlined above appear to be coordinated actions aimed at escalating tensions and risk transforming a localized village-level dispute into a broader communal conflict. Armed Tangkhul volunteers appear to be acting under the influence of vested interests that undermine unity among tribal communities. While we have exercised restraint in the interest of peace, this should not be mistaken for weakness. The WCKCSOs makes it clear that the safety of our people will no longer be compromised. We also urge responsible stakeholders within the Tangkhul community, including civil society organisations, to take necessary steps to discourage any actions that may contribute to further tension. “We cannot afford to wait—peace demands action now.” Issued by: Department of Information and Media WCKCSOs, Ukhrul @ukhrultimes @UNHumanRights @KukilandM77127 @official_dgar @Spearcorps @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @PIBHomeAffairs @ABPNews @IndiaTodayNE @rashtrapatibhvn @timesofindia @power_corridors

MEITEI- Caught in their own narratives WEB! They call themselves blood brothers, indigenous people, and they've even erected monuments to celebrate it. Some folks believe that too. The Meitei community apparently gave up on their "Great Uprising Day" - killed by protesting NSCN-IM, and the day was observed for the loss of 18 innocent lives. 1. Today, Deputy CM Dikho Losii brought the Naga Students' Federation from Nagaland to Manipur and met with the CM. Earlier, during the Lui-Nga-Ni festival, the same Deputy CM Dikho brought the Nagaland CM to Ukhrul, and one NPF MLA declared Ukhrul part of Southern Nagaland. No one from Meitei politicians or CSO platforms, including their various secessionist narco-terrorists and Dikho, responded till today. The question is: did the Meitei community give up and accept Ukhrul District as part of Southern Nagalim? 2. The whole world knows NSCN-IM and their various CSOs (mouthpieces) are the founders of the National Highway Blockade. If they really share the same lineage, the Meitei community should ask NSCN-IM to stop harassing their drivers. 3. A sitting Deputy CM shouldn't abuse his position as Deputy CM to lead a student organization of his community. Tomorrow, what if another Deputy Chief Minister, Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, comes to the CM's office with KSO for Kuki-Zo Land discussion? 4. Their relationship is nothing but targeting the Kuki-Zo Community; when they're afraid, they face them single-handedly. 5. Their relationship reminds me of the China-Russia and Iran social media platform relationship. When Iran faces attacks from the United States and Israel, Russia and China pack their bags and leave for a safer zone like Turkey or Azerbaijan rather than helping Iran. @YKhemchandSingh @KonthoujamG @NBirenSingh @MaharajaManipur @meiteiheritage @Paari_Athouba @koubru_lakpa @laimacha @debanishachom @TheSangaiExpres @PoknaphamNews @Lombanaidabi @LSusindro @LaishramDeepika @ChristopherHij2 @meiteiheritage @koubru_lakpa

Why National media doesn't really care about what's happening in the state of Manipur? Two Kuki men were brutally killed, and they were labelled as 'illegal immigrants' and this narrative went on for so long and literally no one bothered to go through the official documents to cross check about their identity Now, one of the person's pregnant wife has to come on camera to proof that his husband was an Indian National and not some illegal immigrant,...... Imagine a grieving pregnant woman has to come on camera to not only ask for justice but first to proof that his dead husband belonged to this county The saddest part being, the dead also needs to prove their identity, what have we stooped down to.. It has become so easy in Manipur to label a whole community as 'illegal immigrants' every time something happens, vilifying them by calling the whole community as 'poppy cultivators', 'immigrants', 'terrorists' and what not It's nearly 3 years of continuous violence in Manipur and government has not been able to curb the violence because their is no political will to give rest to this issue or bring a solution, but one thing in which they (Biren Govt) succeeded was labelling a community as 'illegal immigrants' Meanwhile National media sleeps as always, as all of this unfolds in one of the Indian State, no questions on accountability, no factual stories nothing.....but just some filthy propaganda as expected. All information coming out from the state of Manipur is massively through social media which is why it gets very difficult to get hold of what's right and what's not in this era of social media.

The Supreme Court doesn't care, the BJP government of course doesn't. A 18 year old who was gang raped in Manipur is now dead. @AlishaDutta_AD remembers her in this poignant piece.

To all those people who are trolling and writing vile comments about me for speaking to only one side in this Litan Conflict Give me someone from the Tangkhul's side to speak on camera, I visited them twice in their camps, which doesn't look like civilian camp but of armed groups, they didn't speak to us on camera instead choose to have a lengthy conversation off the camera So, it isn't my bias of not speaking to them it is them who doesn't want to explain their side of things on camera While, the Kuki's are speaking amicably on camera and sharing their side of things, the people in Tangkhul camp here in Litan doesn't seem to interact with media, we kept waiting for hours and then were told by their leaders that they are 'media shy,' 'camera shy' and so on. These people weren't locals of Litan Sareikhong, but of other nearby villages as they claim but majority of them were armed and had some reservations speaking to us without consulting with their leaders. Here, sharing a picture from a Tangkhul Camp in Litan while my visit.
