There are moments where you stop and look back at the journey — and realize just how rare it is. Today is one of those moments. I’m incredibly proud to share that @forethought_ai has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by @Zendesk .

This feels like a dream come true since I started Replit. As a designer, I’ve always found it challenging to collaborate smoothly with my engineering teammates. For a long time, I imagined what it would look like to have a true source of truth that makes collaboration effortless. The infinite canvas didn’t just happen by accident. I’m incredibly proud of the team, and it’s been such a fun experience getting to work on cutting-edge technology while solving really hard problems. If this resonates with you, come join us in building the future.

Software isn’t merely technical work anymore. It’s creative. Introducing Replit Agent 4. The first AI built for creative collaboration between humans and agents. Design on an infinite canvas, work with your team, run parallel agents, and ship working apps, sites, slides & more.

I’m incredibly energized to announce that I’ve joined @generalcatalyst as their Creative Director It’s an honor to be trusted to hold this position by @htaneja, @jcfurstenberg, and the entire GC Famiglia I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with incredible folks across our industry during my break. But the ambition that General Catalyst has to tackle huge problems, is simply unnatural. There’s so much work to do to show the story of the immense world being built here. But I couldn’t imagine doing anything else right now. It would be absolutely foolish to not thank the many people that spent time supporting me during this time. So here’s a list of thank yous: @gaby_goldberg @seanxthielen @menemazarakis @thecpe @tamarawinter @marannelson @pythianism @janehk @cokiehasiotis @jacksondahl @nabeelqu @EmilyHerrera @DevinLewtan @bryce @soleio and I’m sure there’s others I’m forgetting who had a huge impact on me during this time And most importantly, my very offline Wife whom I’m nothing without 💕 *bonus first day of work fit yesterday

it’s january 11 & we’ve already had 4 rocket launches to space. this is so routine now that most ppl don’t even notice. spaceflight quietly went from spectacle to basic infra, like a highway. this is so ridiculous.

Patrick Collison: “Working with people you’re close to is underrated.” Patrick started Stripe with his brother John and Arc Institute with his wife Silvana. He offers founders the following advice: “I think working with people you’re close to is underrated… For all of the ventures of any significance in my life, they’ve been with people that I’m very close to and who I had and would like to have an enduring relationship with. Sometimes one hears the advice that you shouldn’t work with friends or your partner, and all of these things are idiosyncratic and there are instances of every possible permutation, but for me it has been a really rewarding experience.” He continues: “I think John and I can work together for, you never know, life. But I think we’ll probably work together for decades. For us, it has been both an important source of meaning and fulfillment, but I also think there’s a real complementarity.” Video source: @dwarkesh_sp (2024)

@signulll I stand by the thought that this rule can be broken - but it has to be done well. The avoidant passive aggressive HR era is over. People are off that train. But you need something that helps read the room too. What's the phrase people use? Skill issue.

“AI was dismissed as Excel VLOOKUP, now it runs the world. Crypto is on the same trajectory.” That’s how @soona Amhaz, Founder and Managing Partner of @VoltCapital, describes the moment we’re in. Soona has a rare vantage point because she lived through the AI dark ages before joining the crypto frontier and built companies in both eras. On @Angels2Allo, we covered: 🔷 AI before it was cool: working at an early AI company when people mocked AI as “just ML” and why that skepticism feels identical to today’s crypto landscape. 🔷 Patience as a superpower: how frontier technologies look like toys, get dismissed, then quietly compound until they reshape everything. 🔷 Building crypto products in 2013: accepting BTC and DOGE at University of Michigan hackathons before Ethereum even launched. 🔷 Creating Token Daily: one of the earliest crypto knowledge hubs and how it evolved into the foundation for what later became On Deck. 🔷 The origin of Volt Capital: a crypto fund built by repeat founders and operators who understand zero to one company building from the inside. 🔷 Crypto’s barbell: mature financial primitives such as stablecoins, RWAs, DeFi and tokenized equities on one side and deep tech frontier such as crypto with robotics, crypto with space and crypto with AI on the other. 🔷 Underpriced frontier: data marketplaces for robotics, citizen astronomy networks for space analytics and why deep tech crypto is massively overlooked. 🔷 Founder first investing: why “good founders don’t stay in bad markets” and how past work is the strongest predictor of future success. 🔷 Tokens, equity and value accrual: how Soona thinks about modern token models, liquidity timing and the real mechanics of exits. “Just keep going.” The simple three-word advice from her mom that guides her through every market cycle, bull or bear, chaos or calm. Soona has been quietly building and backing in frontier tech for over a decade and her conviction in crypto’s next decade is unwavering.
