@danmccay Honest question: How do you square this religious prohibition of our faith regarding separation of church and state, and the 1st Amendment that contains a similar prohibition, with laws you have instituted based on YOUR religious beliefs, that have taken rights away from others?

@danmccay D&C 134:9 “We do not believe it just to mingle religious influence with civil government, whereby one religious society is fostered and another proscribed in its spiritual privileges, and the individual rights of its members, as citizens, denied.”

We believe that governments were instituted of God for the benefit of man; and that he holds men accountable for their acts in relation to them, both in making laws and administering them, for the good and safety of society. Doctrine and Covenants 134:1

@VoteTrevorLee You sound like all the other liars, like your President Trump, who “loves and makes a lie” and whom Jesus says are destined for a Telestial glory. But go ahead and #ThinkTelestial

@VoteTrevorLee Your statement also doesn’t square with Latter-day Saint doctrine to me. Liberty and agency are foundational principles of God’s plan. Children who die before the age of accountability are destined for the Celestial Kingdom.

When a rouge activist judge unconstitutionally picks a map in Utah. The outcome will cost lives from a supposed Christian man who likely will take a seat now. This is not what the majority of Utahns want. We are a super majority republican legislature and are the voice for the people.
Ben McAdams@BenMcAdams

This is a heartbreaking example of the toll of abortion bans and what happens when women are denied access to health care. If elected, I would vote to codify Roe and restore a woman’s right to choose.

@VoteTrevorLee You neither followed the Constitution nor the power it gave to Utah voters to make laws that guided your right to make maps. You messed up and the Court said so. That’s also in the Utah Constitution. You should read the other parts, too.

@MayorStaggs Read the article. It talks about several cases where women died because they were denied abortions. The Church doctrine page says protecting a mother’s life is a valid reason for abortion. He’s actually following the values and doctrines of his faith.

@BasedMikeLee @VoteTrevorLee When the Utah Legislature doesn’t follow the law or the Constitution or the will of Utah voters from which they derive their powers, yes the Utah Constitution also says the Utah Court has a duty to intervene. It’s the Utah Way.

Judge Gibson’s early Christmas gift to the Democrats—making it far easier for leftists to get elected in Utah—isn’t a defensible use of the judicial power It’s a lawless takeover of the legislature’s exclusive, constitutional power to create legislative districts That power belongs to the people and the lawmakers they elect—not to Judge Gibson
Mike McKell@mikemckellutah

As an officer of the court, I’m disappointed in my own profession. The ruling stepped way outside a judge’s lane and ignored the Utah Constitution’s clear separation of powers.

@VoteTrevorLee @GunOwners @gunpolicy @NRA Bad analogy. Banning drunk drivers from driving is what works and what the law actually says. Regulating the bearing of arms, which is literally in the Second Amendment, is an appropriate way to prevent needless deaths…and it is Pro-Life as well.

@mormons_speak @Ch_JesusChrist When you go is a personal choice. I went after 2 years of college. My son after 1. Many 18 year olds thrive as missionaries and women are typically more mature at 18 than men. I think it’s a great change to bring more equality between men and women in the Church.
