Daniel Kennedy, 36, first contacted his teenage victim on social media in October 2024 while posing as a teen himself. Following a number of conversations between the pair, he sent the victim several indecent images, sexually explicit chat and encouraged the girl to share naked images of herself. The victim’s mum spotted her daughter looking at the images on her mobile phone and reported it to Cheshire Police. Kennedy, of Crewe Road, Winterley in Cheshire, was arrested. The 36-year-old appeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday, May 22 where he was sentenced to 13 months in prison, handed a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and made to sign the sex offenders register.
