@JackWorthNFER Thanks Jack. We’re already facing unprecedented capacity issues here in the south. Having to come up with some innovative albeit temporary solutions for a number of our schools.

@vicgoddard @jillberry102 @GuardianEdu Catastrophic is the correct terminology. We’ve gone beyond crisis. If our maths teachers leave now we have very few options left. We can train non-specialists but now these teachers are desperately needed in their own subject areas.

@jillberry102 @GuardianEdu We need to make the profession more attractive. And quickly. Schools I’m working with are often in crisis mode already due to capacity issues.
