It’s partially true that you can join a Marxist sect to get educated. But the kind of education in a sect approaches knowledge in a way where everything needs to be tested against an existing framework. It’s not really a sustainable way of creating critical thinking socialists.

@the92ndone @B0lsjewist @CondorArchzyr Lenin was always extremely clear about the right for party members to publicly criticise the party line. The newspapers of the RSDLP were known for their vigorous public debates. I don’t think you would ever see something like that in a bureaucratic sect like the RCI

@B0lsjewist @CondorArchzyr What harm can come from party members - openly advertising themselves as party members to millions of people - publicly criticising the party, rather than making use of its internal democratic channels for disagreement? What harm could come of that? Read some Lenin pal

There is an uncanny valley of sorts between the center left and the far left, wherein policy does absolutely nothing to meaningfully challenge capital yet it would immediately nuke the economy. A lot of modern western left populist policy is found here. Please consult the graph.

@SamuraiApology The more student oriented organisations like SWP, RCI, etc. seem to be particularly bad at admitting when they’ve been wrong. But the Sparts have generally been pretty good in the past few years at openly reflecting on their past mistakes
