You wouldn't diagnose someone with having a runny nose. A runny nose is a symptom or just an observation.
Having a cold or allergies or the flu is a diagnosis, we can't see them directly, but they explain the runny nose.

one medical concept people see as totally backwards, imo, is diagnosis. people think of “diagnosis” as finding something out - like you’d measure a table, and diagnose it as 6 feet long

@ParisPhl I could not disagree more on that. Dont have kids if you must have an active social life w other adults who are childfree. Kids do not belong in bars or breweries unless its a sit down restaurant. Hire a sitter or drop em at grandma & grandpas.

Serious question: Have you ever seen a study that captures the frequency and length of "dead end" long term relationships? The hearts of millions of women have been shattered by relationships of 5-15 years with immature men that consume almost their entire youth, only to be left childless and single. Women rightly complain about this, yet when the time comes to attempt to find a real-world solution, the conversation devolves into fairy tale wishes and dreams.
