It saddens me to see Andrew Huberman's Wikipedia page attacked in a politically-motivated way to remove most of his scientific accomplishments and to add misleading statements like: "Huberman appeared on programs that frequently platform health misinformation". This is a dishonest misrepresentation of a legit scientist and one of the best communicators of science in the world. @hubermanlab deserves to be celebrated not slandered. He is a truly special human being, who is doing an invaluable service for the world.

In the last ten years or so we’ve seen so much anger, mistrust and hatred seeping into British life, mostly though not entirely influenced by what’s going on in the US. This tweet is an example. People here are ruder, angrier and more extreme than they used to be.

Imagine being @JoeBiden. Your son makes millions of dollars from foreign entities but does not pay taxes because that would mean disclosing that he is engaged in foreign lobbying. With the millions of dollars and no serious job, he becomes a drug addict and illegally obtains a gun. All he tells them is that he is the son of the US Vice President, and he claims that part of the money will go to the "Big Guy." He promises them access to his dad and top US officials. They hire him without any qualifications and pay him millions of dollars. Eventually, the information comes out, and the Justice Department has to investigate. The investigation drags on for five years, and eventually, they strike a deal with him to plead guilty to two misdemeanors of tax evasion so that the government would not prosecute him for illegally possessing a gun as a drug addict, a serious crime that has sent tens of thousands of Americans to prison for years. Imagine being the same father who, as a senator, drafted a draconian anti-drug law that sent tens of thousands of black people and others to prison, confiscated all their belongings, and gave a big speech boasting that the drug addicts should all be taken off the streets. Now that your son is one of them, when you're asked about his case, you say you're proud of him and he has done nothing wrong. Imagine journalists and commentators like @joenbc justifying it on television, singing your praises when their own child would have been in prison long ago for the same crimes. Imagine the people who believed in the rule of law watching the two-tiered justice system so brazenly displayed. America is in crisis. May God help us all!

The 3 bank holidays this month have effectively been a trial run of a 4 day workweek in the UK. What are the results? Incredible national happiness, a surge in demand and economic activity. No negative impact on productivity. A breath of fresh air for creativity, rest and love.

@ClausCarlsen1 @SelfMadeMastery That’s not true for all. From your post you as a individual are allowing opinions of others to effect you. You can train yourself for this not to be the case. People can think and be anyway they wish, I will be the way I wish to be. This gets really hard when it kids/family

@SelfMadeMastery It's not that simple. We are affected by the opinions of others more or less depending on who they are and what the context is.

Someone else's opinion of you shouldn't change your opinion of yourself.

So my blue tick is back. Rest assured I didn't pay for it. Providing content has always been the entry price to use Twitter. And in return you let me bang on about my books or Fulham. By and large I love this site, and I've always been happy with that deal. I haven't, and wouldn't, pay for it though.
