💥💥💥💥 One Conservative candidate just messages this for circulation: “Richard Holden is a disgrace to the Conservative Party. He’s put himself over candidates. He’s shown complete disdain for Party members. The only reason this fool won’t be associated with this disastrous election is because nobody believes anyone thinks he competent, capable or trusted enough to be involved in the day to day decision making of this campaign. It’s a running joke amongst candidates that they hope it’s a Labour gain in Basildon and Billericay.”

Has any single one of these so-called Journos uttered a word about @SangitaMyska being suspended by @LBC? Or does your journalist integrity stop when its a South Asian woman being censored by your own bosses for doing her job? #WhereisSangitaMyska

@SeaOtter68 @FulhamishPod £2 million is one place higher in the Premier League. Having a stadium full of real supporters can give you the “12th player” effect that can get you two or three or more places further up the league.

@FulhamishPod Not to excuse the price gouging but one of Bayern and Fulham can afford to yawn at 2 million and, likely far less than that stands between points deductions for the other. Holding up Bayern as an example to Fulham is akin to holding up a picture of Everest to One Tree Hill.

This is absolutely insane, I literally cannot believe France has come to this point. x.com/realmarcel1/st… This 👇 is Aurore Bergé, the French Minister for the Fight against Discriminations, who just announced on Radio J (a Jewish community radio station in Paris) that she’d stop funding all French feminist organizations that do not promote Israel’s understanding of “Oct 7 and what happened afterwards”. Here’s an exact translation of what she said: “On behalf of the government, I have requested a meticulous review of all statements from all feminist organizations related to October 7th and its aftermath, because I refuse to allow the state to financially support associations that cannot clearly define what happened [...] I have asked for all financially supported organizations to be thoroughly scrutinized - hundreds and hundreds of associations - because being feminist means speaking out, it means supporting the women who were mutilated on October 7th. If there is any ambiguity about statements that have been made, it would not be right for these associations to continue receiving government subsidies, it's as simple as that.”

@asifamhp @444blackcat I think no because I agree that a court would consider this was never the intention of Parliament. I’m no lawyer but I wonder if that sentence in the judgement would be considered obiter (not central to the decision & thus not legally binding)

A cynic might consider that Michael Gove's attendance at Victoria Stn was set up to support the 'mob rule' and 'hate march' narrative that the Tories have been pushing all week. You would be pretty naive not to predict that reaction to him at that time.

@bikingmidwife Casualty figures in Gaza have historically been considered pretty accurate, by Human Rights Watch, the UN and by Israel itself. Israel have every reason to undermine the Gaza figures - both sides have reason to exaggerate or minimise. remember the first casualty of war...

@Londonlife44 If the Arabs had been as welcoming as you claim, millions of Jews would have escaped Europe, because they could have returned to their homeland. And don’t believe Hamas numbers of dead. And do remember Hamas are killing people in Gaza trying to evacuate.

I have no problem with @GaryLineker using free speech to make his points. However, when it comes to #RemembranceSunday his comments show a lack of understanding. #Remembrance weekend is for the country, and for those of us who served, to remember those who never came back with gratitude and reflection. I particularly remember one man, a dear friend of mine, who was tortured by terrorists, his body dismembered and his parents died never knowing where he lay. People can protest on any other day of the year, but on this day of days we owe those who served to protect us and our freedoms this one quiet moment of love, memory and prayer. If virtue signalling has a time and a place, neither are on #RemembranceSunday.

A little story for a wet Friday night. Near my house I found a wallet in the road. When opening it I found a bank card, some cash, a library and a youth club card. And also a front door key. The person who dropped it is 14 and could be locked out so I set out to find him….1/6

I keep being asked what I make of the UFO thing in Congress yesterday, so here it is: I watched a few clips and saw some people who seemed to believe stuff saying extraordinary things without presenting extraordinary evidence. Therefore I have nothing more to say, other than: It would be great if true - it would take a bit of the pressure off our civilisation if we weren’t the only means within the Milky Way by which the Universe understands itself. Sadly, as of today, I still feel that pressure, so can we perhaps focus on not messing our world up rather than hoping that, to paraphrase Sagan, someone will float down to save us from ourselves.

Irresponsible reporting by @DailyMirror as the spittlebug and its ‘spittle’ are NOT harmful to humans or plants. There is no evidence of the plant disease in UK and the survey it refers to took place 2 years ago. mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/n…

#bbcnews headlines all about the Lineker tweets, while ignoring the real issue. 25 minutes in there’s a sympathetic piece about a young Afghan woman refugee who eventually found safety in Germany. No links drawn between the two stories. Fine as long as she’s not in the UK.
