@RotoPat Slippery slope. Dems got rid of it for Justices and GOP took advantage. Either way though, it's irrelevant to the point... the party in power currently is voting to open the government, the party not in power is preventing that.

Bench update

@HowieRose When I went to Duke, they asked for suggestions on names for 2 new dorms they were building. I suggested Randolph and Mortimer. Alas, they didn't go with those.

When I was at Queens College their outstanding women’s basketball team played in the 1975 NAIA national tournament held at Madison College in Harrisonburg, Va, now James Madison University. JMUs’ team is the Dukes. In honor of Mortimer and Randy I shall root for Dukes vs. Duke.
