Because of President Trump’s war in Iran, anything that depends on the cost of fuel is going to go up. That means trucking, that means airline tickets. That means the price of food.

ICE continues to bring chaos into communities across America. But we will not be silenced. Protest. Activism. Questioning authority. These are not crimes, they are the lifeblood of a healthy democracy and a necessary check on agencies that abuse their power. Republicans in Congress refuse to provide any kind of meaningful oversight or check and balances or hold ICE accountable for their lawlessness. I will not vote for another dollar to fund an agency that is out of control and endangering our communities.

Trump’s war with Iran is driving up gas prices. Americans shouldn’t be stuck paying the bill for his bad decisions. We need to end this war and do more to lower costs for families. One thing we can do immediately to help is suspend the federal gas tax and bring some relief at the pump NOW.

It’s simple: Trump’s war is illegal, unconstitutional, and reckless. We MUST vote on a War Powers Resolution immediately and rein in his abuse of power.

Like so many of you, I am haunted by the images coming out of Trump and Netanyahu’s reckless war. The longer we let defense contractors and the war industry drive our politics, the longer this will continue. It’s time for a change.

I just left a classified briefing with the Trump Administration about the war in Iran. I was worried before, but I’m more worried now.

Why are we going to war with Iran? What do we get out of it? What’s the end goal here? Those are questions the president should have known the answers to before he sent Americans into harm's way.
