A half-time show is an anti-football abomination. Players have gone through their career used to normal break. That rhythm disrupted, in the biggest game of their careers. It's of a piece with absurdly high ticket prices and Balogun controversy - Fifa ushering this through.

I guarantee you that if that were a player from any other country, they would have upgraded to red. This is the shit you get playing NZ at Eden Park. Remember the French were robbed in the World Cup final here. #NZLvIRE

@annmcelhinney It's who we are. We don't do high performance. But yet love to pontificate (and virtue signal). And at the same time are desperate for the world to tell us how great we are

@amcl1986 @annmcelhinney @john_mcguirk On the whole- they really aren't (any more). Will be a few of course (it's a big country) but most had no expectations going into this tournament and haven't for years. Ps don't count "it's coming home" as arrogance. It's become a spoof and is a catchy tune- not a declaration

@annmcelhinney @john_mcguirk It’s mainly because they’re arrogant when it comes to international football. We’re associated with them both geographically and because of our history but don’t share this same arrogance… so it’s karmic to see them fail.

@DJMcCrumments Great info- fair play. Just a couple of things- Nankivell is not capped (four 'A' appearances all right. Josh Ioane did get a cap off the bench. Don't think Harrison is capped either- just made the Aus squad in 2020.

I dont blame this 'Chef' in thinking he knows more about rugby than Farrell, or even the false confidence this platform has giving him to insult Farrell they way he does. I blame the 4k people who follow, who have made him think hes in some position to decree this nonsense.
Dave Ahern@CorkGourmetGuy

If Andy Farrell ever finds himself out of work as a rugby coach, he'd be a roaring success as a painter & decorator, he talks a lot but actually does fuck all, he's eyewateringly expensive, he's got a million excuses & he's a master at papering over cracks. #JPNvIRE #JAPvIRE

@LeinsterGoy @Murray_Kinsella As with all pro sport, if the player/coach is wanted then these things don't matter so much. That's just the nature of it. "Culture" 🙄 You'll be talking about sweeping out the sheds next . Ps look closer to home for ref abuse and it doesn't seem to have stopped anyone advancing

@Murray_Kinsella O'Gara was a legend for Munster & Ireland as a player but has 34+ weeks of suspensions and fines totalling at least €40,000 in the Top 14 for abusing match officials, as a coach. That doesn't really fit with Leinster (or Ireland) rugby culture.

@JamesMolonrxs8 @APoorRelation Agreed. The game has changed so much from the 'old days' in terms of running and tries scored that simply getting four isn't enough to warrant a BP any more. The game has moved on from the reason the BP was brought in and now the BP system needs to

@Stevenoonoo @APoorRelation Completely agree he’s got a beef with one country . I’m glad it’s changing though because being rewarded with a bonus point for losing has always been a nonsense for me.

@T2Rugby There isn't anything wrong with having that opinion on the BP system. I agree with you on it and it will change. It's how you make your point though. You've an ulterior motive.

@JamesMolonrxs8 @APoorRelation He does have a point. It is starting to change (next years Euro cup) and will change in further comps in the Northern Hemisphere im sure. But he should make the point generally. Instead he focuses in one game, and that's where he has an ulterior motive.

@APoorRelation Has a point though on the BP system . If you concede 60 points you shouldn’t get a bonus point . If anything you should be docked a point

@EamonMelia @fella_music_ For me, a big issue would be the amount of cabbages thinking they've seen the suspect and phoning it in (or worse) and getting it wrong. Thereby wasting time, resources and blaming(or worse)ppl in the wrong. Because there are so many fucking mongos around that's how it would be

@Stevenoonoo @CorkGourmetGuy Totally agree. Not blaming you whatsoever, just pointing out that my lack of intimate knowledge of contractual positions does not negate the shoddy management & planning at Munster branch level. I may be a Leinster fan but, I’m also an Irish fan - Ireland needs a strong Munster.

Keeping JJ Hanrahan & letting Tony Butler go is a mistake. Tony's Munster career essentially ended after a bad game against Glasgow, yet JJ is forgiven bad performance after bad performance. Butler has far more upside. It's not the 1st time they released the wrong 10 #SUAF
Munster Rugby@Munsterrugby

A massive thanks to Ennis out-half Tony Butler for his contribution to Munster Rugby 👏 Tony scored 76 points in 28 appearances over his three years in the Academy and two years in the senior squad. A Grand Slam winner with the Ireland U20s in 2022, Butler made his Munster debut in the Champions Cup win over Wasps in 2021 and starred in the victory over Argentina XV this season. #SUAF 🔴

@gorey_john @CorkGourmetGuy It isn't. But I'm not employed by Munster rugby so it's difficult for me to affect that directly right now. I do what I can though. I'm a big believer that words matter- and accuracy matters- now more than ever.
