Does anyone have a truly legitimate football reason for why they like Alonso so much? 1) His Leverkusen team's build-up play was much slower than any of Slot's teams have ever been. If you've been complaining about slow possession football, then it's illogical to then beg for a manager whose system is slower and more possession-centric. 2) Do we really want to become a team that uses a back 5? 3) He failed at Madrid. 4) Slot's LFC smacked him 4-0. The biggest reason I can find is "aura" which basically translates to people just fancy him a little?

The truth about Michael Olisé to Liverpool 🇫🇷 “Bayern Munich won’t sell Olisé!” “It’s not possible, Olisé is unrealistic” Think about it clearly for a second. Ignore the posturing from Bayern mouthpieces and really look at Bayern’s squad and it’ll make sense. They currently have a forward line with: Gnabry, Musiala, Diaz, Kane, Olisé, Karl and Nicholas Jackson. Jackson they’ve already confirmed will not be kept permanently. Gnabry’s just turned 30 and clearly is not going to be a key player for them going forward. Squad filler like Müller was in his last few seasons. Musiala is the crown jewel. That’s the player they will build their attack around for 5-8 years going forward. Lennart Karl is also a crown jewel but still needs a bit of time to really hit heights and start producing G/A consistently. Díaz has been great this season but his horizon is 2 (maybe 3 if they’re lucky) great seasons before he declines and they need to transition away from him. At that point he will have little to no resale value whatsoever. Probably leaves on a free. Kane is the same. He’s currently in his absolute peak. His decline probably begins next season or he’ll probably engineer a move to either Barca or back to the Premier League but for drastically less than the £100m Bayern paid for him. They’ll take a loss on him and have to figure out how to replace his output. Then you have Olisé who is a fantastic age and producing high output. Bayern’s hierarchy have a problem. They have to initiate a complete rebuild of their forward line and their midfield over the next two seasons to remain competitive at the highest level. But they will not be able to raise significant funds from selling any of their players…except for two: Musiala and Olisé. We all know that Musiala is not the one they would ever countenance selling. That’s the crown jewel of German football. So they are left with Michael Olisé, their golden goose. They bought him for £35m and if they sell him this summer he could easily command a fee of £120m, nearly £100m in pure profit. That bankrolls a good chunk of the business they will need to do over the next few windows to future proof their attack. Bayern’s hierarchy know this. That’s why they’re briefing all their journalists that he won’t leave - it’s a classic negotiating tactic. It’s them making sure they save face in front of the Bayern fans and also maximising any final sale figure for Olisé. Do not be in any doubt about the possibility of Michael Olisé leaving Bayern. The fundamentals of squad building almost guarantee that he moves at the right price. The only question is whether Liverpool believe he’s worth the money, which will almost certainly be a British transfer record fee.

@AATalksBall Nahh mamarshdivilli is a great replacement, i do think his confidence is not really there because of the game time and how slot is insistent on playing ali through all of his bad form even in an FA cup game. There's a reason why we signed him and why he won the best GK in Spain

Neymar had 5 years at Barcelona. That’s it, five. The rest of the time he’s swanning about on holiday in Paris and Saudi Arabia & you’re trying to tell me that’s more impressive than Rooney who ended his career as both Manchester United and England’s top goalscorer. Incomparable.

Wayne Rooney was a better player than Neymar. By a country mile. There isn’t one aspect of football where Neymar outshines Rooney. Vision, output, effectiveness, mentality…it’s all Rooney. Some things in football are to be debated, others are straight up fact, this is the latter

@stehoare Ain't going to praise these pretenders here, where was this performance against spurs or wolves or any of the games we lost today. A 10 men Juventus almost made an easy comeback against these guys so I'm honestly not impressed because we have the FA tie against city and then. PSG

The idea that you can’t praise your team when they plan well is mad to me. What’s the point of being an into the footie if it makes you so miserable even when your team wins? 🤷‍♂️
fabinhobp@fabio0223

@stehoare We played well because the opposition was weak, a crappy team. Stop overreacting as if we had just defeated prime Barcelona or prime Real Madrid. Let’s wait until the tie against PSG is done to have a better idea.

@Watch_LFC At the end of last season more like from around the PSG game we've just been bad and crap if we are honest to ourselves and my question to you is when did the transition start because we were bad back then and this is nothing new really because there's always been signs

I very much do believe that Arne Slot is the right manager for Liverpool FC. I do believe that we’re through the worst of the transition and the end of this season + beginning of next season will see the team finally develop coherence and consistency. I call for patience.

@CarlB_77 @ade_oladipo1 You must be smoking something ridiculous for you to say that. So when's the rebuild stage coming because clearly this isn't a rebuild but more like a demolition job. We r going to sell another 5 n buy another 5. We are not signing players to improve like we should be doing

@ade_oladipo1 What's the rush? He's earned time with the title win last season. As long as we qualify for the cl he should be given time. With a good summer window we'll win it next season.

“If you seriously think Slot is the answer to our issues and is somehow gonna turn this around next season then you f*cking need to wake up. 😳 🗣️ “You really need to wake up and wake up fast.” Time must be up Arne Slot by the end of the season. 📉

@GravenberchYNWA Scapegoat 2 things can be true, 3 actually he's been basically hindrance to the team for this whole season like gakpo, he's actually worse especially defensively And slot has honestly sucked the life out of this team. 0 cohesion, we press high but it's a pointless cause

So many people defending MKBHD lol You people understand that he doesn't even know you guys exist? In all seriousness, 10min for a monitor review is nothing, but: This is not a monitor review. At all. He reads a spec sheet and that's literally it. Everything else is just an opinion of him about this monitor. The fact alone that he just claims that the Studio Display just uses an 11 year old panel says it all. No measurements about color accuracy, latency nothing. He just reads 27", 5K, 60Hz. And that means it's identical to the old iMac one. For an actual review of such a display it would be super important to see how Apples claims hold up, does it reach 2000 nits brightness, what is the sustained full screen brightness, contrast, how well calibrated is the panel and all of Apples reference modes. THOSE are important facts worth knowing if you're in the market for this display that you want to use for your work. Some dude talking about how nice 120Hz is, that the bezels are thicker or how generous Apple is for including the stand are hilariously irrelevant. At 1:45 he says "there is not much to say about the panel itself" which is nothing but is ridiculous. It is literally THE most important part of a monitor review. He LITERALLY just reads of a spec sheet. That is a hands-on at best. Not a review.

@ElKneeKnow This just shows who's played competitive football and those who sit on their console all day. There was no space for him to pass, every other pass had a high risk of being intercepted coz of wolves pressing, so the best option is to lay it to the gk and hit it long for hugo...
