Can I ask a question to all the Labour voters? Can you please explain to me why you voted Labour, as I’m very confused how any sane person could vote for them with all the terrible things that have happened.

@RootsNotShame @ML3democrats Policies which are still a million miles ahead of the awfulness of Trump. You didn't see Biden taking away people's medicare or having people shot in the street or causing insurrection. Trump is a cancer on the United States.

@StockwellKent @ML3democrats She was every bit as responsible for that administration as Biden was. Let’s not pretend she spent four years powerless and uninvolved just because the record is inconvenient now. The autopen may have held the pen, but she still owned the policies.

If Kamala Harris had become president of the United States, Trump would be in prison, the strait of Hormuz would be open, Ukraine would be victorious, gas would be under $3 a gallon, and the U.S. would STILL be respected and supported around the world.

@CaseyDogMo @ML3democrats As a UK resident, I can tell you nobody laughed at Biden over here. He was well respected. By contrast, there is a massive anti-Trump sentiment, and people respect the USA far less than pre-2025..

@ML3democrats What on earth makes you think that? Under she and Biden Ukraine was a money laundry, gas was way over $3 a gallon, and world leaders were laughing at Biden, not respected. Don't you have a lot of things in France that you should be focusing on?🙄🙄🙄

@RootsNotShame @ML3democrats Four years where she herself wasn't president. And yes, the courts would have put Trump in prison (which is where he's going after this term)

@ML3democrats That isn’t analysis. It’s political fan fiction. Harris had four years in the administration: Ukraine did not win, gas was not reliably below $3, and Iran was not magically neutralized. And presidents don’t personally put political opponents in prison. Courts do.

The UK economy is basically a subscription service at this point. £900 for rent. £200 for council tax. £150 for energy. £300 for food. £200 for fuel. Then someone asks why you've got no savings. I don't know mate, probably because existing costs £1,750 a month.

@ahmetdouas @QuietWealth_UK As a forty something who doesn't own, I'm considering doing that. We started saving for a house a year ago, but the thought of just building immense savings instead has its appeal (and we have cheap council housing, not private rents).

A 40 year old posted on Reddit. Ten years ago he bought a 2-bed flat in London for £520,000. £100,000 deposit. Every penny he'd saved throughout his 20s, working 50+ hour weeks in a high-pressure career. He thought he was doing everything right, get on the ladder, build equity, move up later. Today the flat is worth around £400,000. Mortgage remaining: £340,000. After ten years of ownership, he's facing the possibility of walking away with far less than he ever expected. He didn't make reckless decisions. He bought a normal London flat. The risk wasn't obvious because housing feels safe. Then came: — Cladding issues — Rising service charges — Higher interest rates The price fell because the market moved against London flats. He can't just cut his losses and leave. Cladding makes it nearly impossible to sell. Service charges are bleeding him monthly. Rates have made the mortgage painful. We talk a lot about returns, not enough about concentration risk. A London flat felt like the safe option. In his case, it wasn't. That's why I'm building my ISA alongside my house deposit.

We’re reforming the homebuying process, so it works for first time buyers. By getting key information upfront and reducing the number of failed sales, we're making sure home buyers don't get hit with legal fees, searches, and other costs again and again.

@CallumLyon Because you’re not lounging round the pool with an iced pina colada in ya hand. Dipping in the cold pool every fifteen minutes to cool off then going back to an air conditioned hotel room. You’re working, and going home to your hotbox of a house to tidy cook and stew

🚨 10 YEARS ON: The mood has SHIFTED. YouGov poll just dropped: England: 56% say we were WRONG to leave the EU (only 31% right) Wales: 61% WRONG (29% right) Scotland: 75% WRONG (16% right) Success? Just 5% of Scots and 11-12% in England & Wales think so. Overwhelming FAILURE for most. Majorities now want to #REJOIN the EU. Right-wing UK media barely touching this. Why the blackout? The public has spoken again. Share if this needs to go everywhere 👇 #Brexit #RejoinEU #YouGov

@ArchRose90 Sunak was PM number 3 of that term, so they were starting to take the piss by then. Burnham would only be number 2. And ultimately we didn't get a general election with Sunak, so now the Tories can fuck off if they think they're getting an early one.

A timely reminder that based on the standards Labour set in 2022, if Andy Burnham becomes PM via a leadership election, a General Election should be called. If Andy Burnham is crowned PM, a General Election should be called. We have the receipts ready.

What a complete retard. They lost 1300 councillors to Reform under his tenure, and this fuckwit now spins Burnham’s win in Makersfield as a momentous victory. “They can’t win by-elections” – besides the local elections massacre, Reform has won 3 by-elections since the GE (last one yesterday) and the Greens 2. Labour has lost 2 and has now held 1 to the man who wants to take Starmer’s place. What a total cunt.

@calscot @RobertN51219021 @BritishBastardX No. It's a nice description of where Farage would take us though. It also very reminiscent of what Trump is already doing in America. This is what the far right do though, accuse opposition of what they're doing themselves. It's part of their M.O

Yes, Starmer is a fascist, but so is Burnham, so not defeated at all, just a change of despotic leader. Do you know what fascism is? Fascism comes from the word for a bundle of sticks, because the bundle is stronger than the individual. It's a form of collectivism which, in the modern day framework is equivalent to far left socialism - but with the goal of being compulsory and enforced. This means a large, strong government with high taxes and lots of control over all aspects of the economy, industry and lives of the people. The authoritarian part means, suppression of freedom, including speech, attacking dissidents and opposition, and putting them in jail where removing jury trials is expedient. It means introducing identity checks to track people, and using schools and media to indoctrinate everyone. Of course they need to work towards the single party state and so cancel and manipulate elections, gerrymandering and introducing new voters that they bribe with free stuff and populist policies for that group. Importing voters is expedient here. Can you see how the Labour party really fits this description?

Why am I buying as many properties abroad as I possibly can because I want options? I know for a fact if labour win the general election in 2029 we are all fucked in the country will disintegrate. If I have lots of properties in other countries, I have options but if labour do not win in 2029 that means I’ll stay in the country. And it just means that I’ll have a nice bunch of holiday properties that when I’m not there I can put on booking. Com. They make profit.
