Dear Senator Lindsey Graham, Today, I learned that the medical examiner determined your cause of death was an aortic dissection. That hit me hard. It’s the same condition that took John Ritter and nearly took my father-in-law. By God’s grace, my father-in-law survived emergency surgery and lived another 14 years. Most people never get that chance. Most families don’t get one more conversation or one more goodbye. That’s what made your passing feel so personal. We didn’t always agree on every issue. But I never questioned your love for America or your willingness to fight for the principles you believed in. You were a tireless advocate for conservative values, and even on your final day, you were still working, still making calls, and still focused on serving your country. That says everything about the kind of man you were. The Republican Party didn’t just lose a senator. It lost one of its fiercest fighters. Your experience, your determination, and your voice cannot simply be replaced. Politics has a way of making us focus on disagreements. Moments like this remind us that behind every title is a human being with a family, friends, colleagues, and a life devoted to something bigger than themselves.
