Democracy demands debate not insults. I have noticed that some individuals have chosen to respond to my views on Constitutional Amendment No. 3 with insults, slander, and personal attacks.
I am entitled to my political opinions. Just as every Zimbabwean has the right to support or oppose a policy, I equally have the right to analyse national issues and express my position openly and honestly. That is the essence of democracy.
At no point have I insulted those who disagree with me. I have respected the diversity of views that Zimbabweans hold on this matter. What I will not accept, however, is the growing culture of political intolerance where people believe they are entitled to abuse, insult, and defame others simply because they hold a different opinion.
Political debate must never descend into character assassination. Disagreement is healthy in a democracy. It sharpens ideas and allows the nation to explore different solutions but disagreement must remain respectful.
I stand firmly by my right to express my views on national governance issues without intimidation, insults, or slander. Zimbabwe belongs to all of us, and the future of our country will not be built through hatred but through mature and constructive engagement.
To those who disagree with me, I welcome your arguments. Let us debate ideas, not attack individuals.
Respect is the foundation of democratic dialogue.

English

@Suprim_Leader @Mukoma371353 @Blessing_Museki @gift_mugano @zanupf_patriots @ZANUPF_Official @UniversityOfZim Lol. From all I have said on this matter, would you honestly say handizive zvandiri kutaura?
English

Any professor who claim to be in poverty & blame @zanupf_patriots @ZANUPF_Official is a fake professor - a Professor at @UniversityOfZim must generate money both the university and himself or herself.
If you were talking of the generality of civil servants I would understand!
masirande@masirande
Fellow professors at UZ are grieving every day because of poverty which was induced by @zanupf_patriots and your earthly God Mnangagwa
English

@bjarzo @Mukoma371353 @Blessing_Museki @gift_mugano @zanupf_patriots @ZANUPF_Official @UniversityOfZim Clearly u don't
English

@KMutisi @gift_mugano research grants are not for personal use in the sense of discretionary personal spending. They are strictly regulated financial awards intended to fund specific scientific or academic projects kungoti imimi majaira corruption
English

The problem with Zimbos who scream at everything is LACK OF EXPOSURE & utter ignorance of what they opposing.
Prof @gift_mugano is right, & here is why.
For one to be a Professor, the person must be AN AUTHORITY in a subject area. He is respected BEYOND the borders of his country.
A USEFUL Professor working at a University MUST apply for funding for research purposes… That money comes to the Institution… The Professor then recruits Graduate Students to perform research funded by the money he brought. That money can be so much that the Graduate Students may earn a SUBSTANTIAL STIPEND on a monthly basis.
Those who have studied Masters or PhD in South African Universities will tell you it is MOSTLY FREE. It’s rare to find someone paying for a Masters Degree or PhD especially in STEM or the Accounting/Economics fields. In fact, most Masters & PhD students in STEM receive a Monthly Stipend that’s big enough to put them in the top 10% earners in South Africa.
In all this, it is the PROFESSOR who gets the money for the University. Some Professors raise as much as R10 million per year.
So, if in Zimbabwe there are University Professors who can’t raise money for themselves & the Universities they work for, they are totally useless… They are not serious people.
Companies & govt departments in Zimbabwe & outside are always looking for solutions to the challenges they face… Some are looking for ways to improve their products & their processes… A USEFUL Professor approaches them, applies for a research grant, & work on finding the solution with his students…. The companies ARE MORE THAN WILLING to fund relevant research….
But if the Professors love complaining 24/7 like you @drjaytee87, expect them to bring nothing
skilled rebhara@drjaytee87
did he actually say this ?

ZRP Traffic officers from the CBD charge office are sneaking on drivers claiming that they are not stopping at a very hidden Stop sign at ten corner of George Silundika Avenue and Innez Terrace (Ximex Mall).
Normally traffic officers wear reflective jackets and other apparel but these eight ladies aren’t.
One of them identified and Constable Benyu is forcing herself into drivers vehicles and demanding car keys which she is keeping in her pocket.

VC Mapfumo's Reign of Scandal and Arrogance
The ongoing crisis at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) has firmly cemented Vice-Chancellor Paul Mapfumo's reputation as a leader synonymous with scandal and arrogance.
A Legacy of Mismanagement
Mapfumo's tenure has been marked by a series of missteps and controversies that have eroded the trust and confidence of the university community.
Academic Decline: The absence of exams, lectures, and proper supervision under Mapfumo's watch has led to a catastrophic decline in academic standards. This failure to uphold the core mission of the university reflects a profound dereliction of duty.
Financial Impropriety: The lavish spending on hefty allowances, luxury vehicles, and other perks for Mapfumo's loyalists, while lecturers struggle to make ends meet, paints a disturbing picture of financial mismanagement and a blatant disregard for equity.
Hiring Incompetence: The recruitment of unqualified individuals, often with dubious academic credentials, undermines the very foundation of UZ's educational prowess. Mapfumo's prioritization of loyalty over merit has led to a steady erosion of academic integrity.
Arrogance and Denial
Mapfumo's response to the ongoing crisis has been marked by an arrogant and unyielding stance, further exacerbating the situation.
Dismissive Attitude: Rather than engaging constructively with the concerns raised by the Association of University Teachers (AUT), Mapfumo has chosen to dismiss their legitimate grievances, perpetuating a climate of frustration and mistrust.
Deceptive Narratives: Mapfumo's insistence on portraying a façade of normalcy, even in the face of a prolonged strike and the absence of academic activities, reflects a blatant disregard for transparency and accountability.
Defiant Posturing: Mapfumo's unwillingness to address the core issues driving the crisis, and his steadfast refusal to compromise, has only served to deepen the divide between the administration and the university community.
The Consequences of Misrule
Mapfumo's legacy at UZ is one of squandered opportunities, broken promises, and a profound erosion of trust. His arrogant approach to the lecturers' strike has only exacerbated the situation, leading to a protracted standoff that threatens to further undermine the institution's reputation and standing.
A Call for Change
The time has come for Mapfumo to be held accountable for his actions and the scandals that have marred his tenure. The university community demands a leader who prioritizes academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of students and faculty. Anything less will only perpetuate the ongoing crisis and further tarnish the reputation of this once-esteemed institution. #AUTUZisonStrike @SABCNews @thestandardzim @LynneStactia @ibbosnr @Gambakwe @daddyhope @advocatemahere @MakomboreroH @ZimcheOfficial @ZimEye @Zinasuzim @ZimStudentUnion @ARTUZ_teachers @zimresnet @ProfJNMoyo @ali_naka @MutasaPeter @nickmangwana @JobSikhala1 @mhtestd @bbmhlanga @HStvNews @TrevorNcube @Welshman_Ncube @lisah_ncube @SADC_News @UKinZimbabwe @USEmbZim @euinzim @CyrilRamaphosa @HHichilema @cnnbrk @BBCAfrica @eNCA @FRANCE24 @S_Harudzibwi @harumutasa @ali_naka @mawarirej

When you engage in a bout with the learned, it’s not just a game; it’s a philosophical sparring match!
As the fighters enter the ring, one declares, “I will win today!”, an embodiment of ambition, perhaps? Yet, as the dust settles, the defeated reflects, “It was only stupidity. Sorry.”
Ah, the irony! In the pursuit of knowledge, we sometimes forget: the greatest victories lie in humility and the acceptance of our own follies.
