infinitely a worse problem in yugioh. non-games are a nightmare and if you introduce a mulligan system to yugioh the game implodes immediately

Every TCG is going to have non-games. Non-games are the result of variance which is something TCG's need. Some people feel like Magic's non-games are worse because the variance comes from the mana system, so a MTG non-game is "you don't play you cards." In reality this is no more of a non-game than some Hearthstone card doing something random to kill you out of nowhere, but Magic takes more heat for it because it feels worse. It's basically the same concept as how in Commander you can Doom Blade your opponent's commander and it's fine, but if you counter it they get salty. The result is the same, but the Doom Blade gives you the illusion that you were actually making progress and doing something. It tricks you into thinking your decisions mattered, but really they didn't. Non-games in other TCG's do a better job of giving you this illusion, to tricking you into thinking that they aren't really non-games because you are taking game actions and doing things. But really they are the same as getting mana screwed.

My take on the popping off dramas TCG: Drawing your 6th prize card wins you the game, not drawing an ultra ball. popped off too early without finishing the play. The loss was deserved. Go: patiently waited until he actually won, then popped off, respectfuly. Loss not deserved

It’s actually against the law to do that. No manufacturer can force the purchasing party what to sell the item for. Thats what “MSRP” stands for. “Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price”, so no, they can’t “make the prices come down anytime they want.” They do by reprinting and restocking stores though. They have had to force retailers to release held back stock though, so there is that.

Ya'll know TCG stands for "trading card GAME", right? The company wants the GAME to grow. Not your investment in keeping their product sealed/getting an unaffiliated companies opinion on a cards condition. Them keeping packs $3-$5 since the beginning is on purpose. It's so anyone can get cards and learn to play. If they liked the scalper community at all, they wouldn't be investing in printing more cards, but they have been.

@CardGameNomad Let’s all get one thing straight. $10 a pack is not expensive. These cards have been $3-5 per pack since 1999. People will soon awaken and they will be $20+ for even the newer sets

i once dated someone and we got into a playful argument about why they wouldn’t share location “i’m a very private person, this feels like it’s moving too fast, that’s a big step” months later, after it didn’t work out, we were friends and i said “ok i need your location for logistics” he admitted the real reason he wouldn’t share it was because he never left the house and didn’t want anyone to see

@Lewchube My biggest issue with the models are the more washed out colors. T-Tar still looks okay (prefer the colors on the Sprite still) but so many mons are just way worse off with these washed out colors.
