E-bikes have no licenses, no license plates, no registration, no insurance. The argument that they are now being treated the same as cars is bullshit. They are all ghost vehicles, at the end of the day 95% of their crashes are hit and runs, and only the victim pays the price.

Today a pedestrian was run over and killed by a @NYC_DOT truck. The agency hasn't made a single post on social media about this. Perhaps if the agency focuses on its core mission of maintaining the roads instead of spending its entire budget on bike lane expansion shed be alive
