1973: Transsexuals smugly declare: "we chose to be women, transsexualism is the tip of the iceberg, sex is fluid, and birth certs must change".. 2026: They played the long game and won, biology is erased, dissent is crushed and women's rights are gutted...mission accomplished...

In 1445, a Flemish painter painted a hovering angel almost entirely in black. With dark robes and dark wings, it presses its hands to its face, crying. The contrast with the pale background sky is deliberate: the figure is engulfed in darkness, but its agony is clearly visible. Rogier van der Weyden, Crucifixion Triptych, detail.

@glukianoff @glosswitch Yes, & of course, it all started with language, our words. It is critical, especially for females, that we are never equated or considered interchangeable, no matter the artificial modifications or desires. Facts & rights are actually impacted, distorted very differently by sex.

In my career defending academic freedom and free speech, I never saw anything become as immediately radioactive as views that ran counter to the narrative on trans issues. Papers were retracted, compelled speech was treated as normal, and people were canceled for saying things that would have sounded like common sense just a few years earlier. It seemed to become a kind of secular blasphemy overnight. And usually, that is a sign that the true believers know, at some level, that they are on shaky ground. @hoovlet

The promoters of “gender-affirming care” tried to quash scientific debate on its effects through name-calling and by designating as “settled science” the claim that it improves the mental health of dysphoric kids. It’s now clear why they feared open scientific inquiry.

@glukianoff @glosswitch Always something to watch unfold the ridiculous shell game of positions. It's funny because this is a new thing. As if women won't be able to discern what was lost.

Wow. This is the research that every single country including the UK should have been doing. 'psychiatric morbidity increased markedly during follow-up—rising from 9.8% to 60.7% in feminising gender reassignment and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising gender reassignment'

📰A new Finnish study reports that youth gender transitions (under age 23) did not improve mental health symptoms. For some youth, medical gender reassignment may have had a negative impact. Link ⬇️ /1

Some idiot has painted a cross on one of the hedgehogs, presumably so they can identify it, for some reason. If you want to identify hedgehogs, do it the proper way: pay attention to their size, shape and albedo. It's not hard if you're not lazy. Painting them is a bad thing. Don't handle hedgehogs (or *any* other wild animals) unless you need to and don't paint a target on them to mark them out by sight or smell to predators. It's stressful for them, the paint might be toxic and it can make it hard for them to curl up when they sense a threat. Just don't fuck with wild animals at all, they are not toys. They are not here for our entertainment. We should be delighted when they visit, not mark them as property.
