في مشهد يلخص المأساة الإنسانية المتفاقمة في جنوب لبنان، استـ شهد الطبيب جيمس كرم وزوجته وابنته إثر غارة إسرائيلية استهدفت سيارة مدنية على طريق النبطية – الخردلي، أثناء عودتهم من تقديم امتحان نهاية السنة في مركز الامتحان الواقع في مدينة صيدا. وأفادت معلومات ميدانية بأن السيارة المستهدفة من نوع “مرسيدس E320″، وكانت تقل أفراد العائلة الثلاثة من بلدة القليعة في مرجعيون، حيث أدى الاستهداف إلى استشـ هادهم جميعاً. وبحسب المعطيات المتداولة، كان كرم قد اصطحب ابنته إلى مركز الامتحانات لإجراء امتحاناتها، قبل أن يعود برفقتها ووالدتها، لتتعرض السيارة للاستهداف على الطريق، ما أدى إلى استـ شهادهم على الفور.
