AI research volume has gone absolutely bonkers in the last 10 years. This product lets people keep up with and apply all of it. Today, millions of AI researchers come to AlphaXiv to see what the most important papers are, understand the core ideas, and even try hosted models from papers days after they're published. I've been following the team's work closely for the last year, and today, we at @MenloVentures are proud to partner with the team alongside @conviction, @haystackvc as well as luminaries like ex-Google CEO @ericschmidt, @SebastianThrun, Stanford AI professor @StefanoErmon and ex-Cohere AI lead @sarahookr. In the future, AlphaXiv is building towards bringing papers, implementations and benchmarks into one product to become the single place AI researchers, and eventually all researchers, go to to keep up with the latest in the industry and apply it to their job. Every technological revolution is followed by a massive change in what jobs humans do. As AI begins to automate more software, jobs won't disappear: more people will start doing an even higher order of knowledge work: research to expand human knowledge. 🌍 The biggest decentralized science experiment of 2025 is starting now! The protein design competition returns: we’re inviting scientists, engineers, and hackers from around the world to help design new proteins capable of neutralizing the Nipah virus, a pathogen with up to 75% mortality and no effective treatment. All you need is a laptop to participate: submit your computational protein designs, and @adaptyvbio will synthesize and experimentally test 1,000 of the most promising proteins, with all results released open-source on @proteinbase.

BREAKING NEWS The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2024 #NobelPrize in Chemistry with one half to David Baker “for computational protein design” and the other half jointly to Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper “for protein structure prediction.”
