A North Texas man will spend years in federal prison after transporting a minor to a furry convention in Georgia, sexually abusing them, and commissioning artwork of sexual acts between the victim and his "furry persona." On July 13, 37-year-old Joseph Ray Robertson pleaded guilty to transportation of minors and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on Tuesday. Judge Richard Schell also imposed a lifetime supervised release on Robertson. Prosecutors said in 2024, Robertson transported a minor from Frisco to Atlanta, Georgia to a furry convention.

Its impressive for its time for sure and I think its better than most modern Sci-Fi too. It will be difficult to keep up the quality.

@Electro_Wuff This is something 99% of vrchat users don't do. Just consists of having a main optimized public avatar with less clothes ( stay under 70k poly, atlas textures, merge meshes, target good or medium rank, etc) and a more private one where you don't care.

@DatBlueHusky Economically most people are probably better off not living in the GTA too due to the population density unless they get significantly higher wages than an area where you can afford a 1500sqft detached home ( that doesn't have 1k/mo HOA fees ) on 100k/yr.

@DatBlueHusky $30 a day on eating out is $900/mo but yes the average price of groceries is 300-450/mo per person in a house hold but restaurant food is usually loaded with salt too. Top 3 personal expenses are housing, transportation, and food.

We won't be far behind if C-22 passes. In its current state, VPNs would almost certainly require us to log identifying user data. Signal isn't headquartered in Canada so they can just shut off Canadian servers, but our HQ is. We pay an ungodly amount of taxes to this corrupt government, and in return they want to destroy the entire essence of our service to basically spy on its own citizens. Not happening. We'll move HQ and take our taxes elsewhere.
