Well that's another project done & dusted. Next ones are the ZX81 interface and restarting work on restoring N-Sub which I've been dodging for ages because I hate touching CRT chassis, especially unobtainium ones which 'kind of' work. blog.system11.org/?p=3604

@penpe_net_ I checked my Megadrive games - 37/168 STG. There's a lot of platform / action games and unlicensed Mahjong titles in there. I think Megadrive probably had one of the larger libraries for shooting games.

@arcadeuk @A1an_M Other than Eurovision and the World Cup once every 4 years I don't recall the last TV content I watched. It might even have been as long ago as Bad Girls with the gf.

I cancelled our TV licence in 2019 and as a result of that, of having young kids, and having been sickened by the lies told by the media during COVID, I've watched very little adult telly and film over the last few years. We do have Netflix and Disney+ but I rarely watch anything there either. Occasionally though, when we're on holiday or in a hotel, I might switch on the telly, and occasionally we go to the cinema to see kids' films. One thing I've noticed is that I can't enjoy fictional programmes now the way I used to, pre-2020. Even shows I previously liked and I try watching them again. I can't just sit there, suspend disbelief, and lose myself in a movie or a series. Even watching a kids' movie. I'm constantly asking myself "what subliminal message is being sent here? What am I and my kids being programmed to believe is true? Why is the terrorist a white European, again?" It's a shame really, especially when the kids ask "did you enjoy the film?" and I have to be a bit economical with the truth, given I'd spent the whole time mentally railing at the fact that, yet again, the women in the film were the competent, honourable, heroic ones and the men were all either evil or weak, bumbling idiots. But I guess that's just one of the prices of being redpilled. All your innocence goes. Is this just me and my paranoia, or have you noticed it too?

@Con_Tomlinson "Mass incarcerations, now." Overcrowded prisons explain why sentences are low and some criminals don't go to prison when they should. We need a crash prison building program, now.

Walking through the park with my wife. Another mother and her toddler around. Group of urban youths from local college loitering, hollering, littering, and making the park intolerable. So we leave. Car follows behind us. We let it pass. They wave a machete at us from the passenger window, and the car sped away. Filed an online crime report, providing the number plate. Police call: multiple reports about the car, which is using stolen plates. Likely connected to a local drill gang which has been seen dealing drugs to students. Received a letter, and was told the Met Police can't take the matter further. We shouldn't have to live like this. This was a nice area, once. We had our wedding photos taken in that park. These low-impulse-control miscreants shouldn't be able to ruin nice things for the rest of us. Mass incarcerations, now.

Robert is the strongest candidate Reform could have put forward. Makerfield born and raised, ex-army reservist and NHS technician, local councillor, *actually* a plumber, and won 32 percent of the vote in 2024 back before Reform were a national force. A smart pick not to parachute someone from HQ in to stand against Burnham. Reform swept Wigan at the local elections, so Rob has the strongest starting position of any of the candidates.
Reform UK@reformparty_uk

Makerfield was Andy Burnham’s back up plan. For Robert Kenyon, it’s his home. This battle will be David Vs Goliath.

@AshfordLabour Brits leaving is not securing the borders. Net migration is not the right metric. It makes it look good when a tax paying millionaire is replaced by a benefit dependent immigrant.

@System11b @Sargon_of_Akkad Good for general health, except for the massive amount of damage it does to your knees. My advice would be to do long-distance hiking, which has all of the same benefits, but won't turn your joints to dust when you're 55

Nadine Dorries was the architect of the Online Safety act. Nadine Dorries is now in Reform. I can not take this party seriously whatsoever.
Zia Yusuf@ZiaYusufUK

🚨 Labour is using the “Online Safety Act” to silence political opponents, and TikTok is doing their dirty work. First, TikTok removed my video announcing Reform UK’s new policy to place secure illegal migrant detention centres in non-Reform constituencies, prioritising Green ones.  TikTok explicitly cited the Online Safety Act as the reason for its removal. This is hard evidence of this draconian legislation being weaponised to silence political opponents.  That same video has 6.2 million views on other platforms. Today, the censorship escalated.  TikTok has now removed my video outlining the key policies I would implement as Home Secretary, claiming it is “Hate Speech and Hateful Behaviour.”  They warned me that any further "violations" will result in a strike, potentially leading to being de-platformed altogether. This is all the more staggering given TikTok happily hosts hundreds of videos of people calling for the assassination of Nigel Farage. My TikTok videos had received 18 million views over the previous 28 days. This is a chilling attempt to silence one of the biggest and fastest-growing UK political accounts on the platform. TikTok is engaging in direct political interference in the midst of the most pivotal elections in our country’s history. All under the auspice of the “Online Safety Act” that the Tories and Labour claimed to be about protecting children. It is, and always will be about silencing voices the open-borders political establishment don’t like. @TikTokComms have decided to try and suppress Reform. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.

@System11b @RupertLowe10 How does Andy Burnham not winning, weaken Labour? Do you lot think he is somehow the Messiah that's going to save labour or something. He's going to be a carbon copy of Keir, all he will do is maybe speed up the decay of the nation. That only helps Restore come the next GE
