That half-dozing thought that stops you going back to sleep. Making people register to not send their child to school is akin to making people register to be pedestrians. It's just what happens if you don't use another mode of transport. #HomeEd #HomeEducation #NoRegister

@luptonn @sharrond62 @jwhitey98 Generally speaking, with your eyes, using the same secondary sex characteristics that we all recognise as belonging to a male or female person, hip width and angles, shoulder width, hand size, face shape etc. If you ask them and they get aggressive, it's most likely they're male

And now they come for Parkrun. PARKRUN. Threatening community run events with legal action cannot possibly be part of protecting women’s sport. For these campaigners, the only thing that seems to matter is the erasure of the trans community from public life.
Telegraph Sport@TelegraphSport

🔴 Parkrun and nine sports bodies have been threatened with legal action by Sharron Davies over their refusal to ban those born male from their female categories. Letters seen by Telegraph Sport have been co-signed by Baroness Davies and Tracy Edwards MBE telegraph.co.uk/sport/2026/04/…

@jk_rowling Oh nah, I wear a zip hoodie all the time! And my gardening jumper is a hoodie. I got an RSPB one with a puffin on the front for Christmas. Hoodies for all!

I fear this might be my most controversial take ever, but I agreed to put it to a vote so here we are. Hoodies should only be worn by men young enough not to look silly carrying a skateboard.

@ThomasWillett9 If she carries on at this rate, Trans people's rights will be reduced to same rights as everyone else. Then they won't be special at all. 😡

What about the fact that JK Rowling is funding efforts to roll back trans’ rights, has a record of ridiculing and launching hate campaigns against trans women online, and even called for an M&S employee to be fired for appearing to be trans?
SEEN in Journalism@JournalismSEEN

Hi @SceneinCinema ‘transphobic’ is defamatory unless you can provide evidence. It’s one thing for Radcliffe to express his opinion, it’s quite another for you to report it as a fact.

@JenniferSey @SabalenkaA @piersmorgan Sabalenka is right. Men should not be competing in women’s sports and trans women should not either. I appreciate a trans woman athlete feels like a woman, but they still have the strength of a man. It’s not a difficult concept to grasp.

Thanks to @SabalenkaA for answering @piersmorgan's question honestly. No, women should never have to play against men. It's not fair. It's that simple. She's the #1 tennis player in the world and she said it. Now why can't the rest of the elite female athletes?

I think the public would be appalled if I went ahead with the offer while they’re left suffering Christmas strikes. I don’t want this transactional relationship with the BMA, I want a partnership. I hope we can build that in 2026 if RDs vote for the offer and end the strikes.
Lewis Thomas Hughes@lewisthughes

@wesstreeting Do you think the public are happy with you horse trading with things they want you to fix, just because the BMA want it fixed as well?

@LabourfutureUK Actually listen to them. They won't vote for paternalistic 'we know better' policies any more. Give them candidates from their communities who understand their struggles. Widen your understanding of working-class. Oh and be clear about sex and gender.

The arguments made on behalf of the Women and Equalities Minister yesterday were a desperate attempt to shoehorn "case-by-case" back into the single sex services following the Supreme Court judgment. sex-matters.org/posts/publicat…

So tired of seeing the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of women discussed as if it's some cruel victory for a dominant group, as opposed to the absolute bare minimum

This week is #TransAwarenessWeek. Trans people have the same right to freedom, joy, safety, and healthcare as everyone else. But in the UK and across the world, their rights are under attack. We need to stand up to transphobia and guarantee everyone’s dignity.

Today’s LCSP review: Sara Sharif’s murder was committed by her father and not prevented due to serious LA safeguarding errors. Home education was not to blame. Yet the same overstretched LAs will now oversee new home-ed registers. Will this prevent harm or cause more errors?

@NatWei It'll stretch them even further, and send them chasing shadows while those who seek to harm children continue to either hide in plain sight or retreat even further from view. As if someone already breaking the law will care about the register.
