We saw the video, we acted, and here is where things stand.
When (Rhapstar) posted the viral video on 4 April 2026, alleging misconduct by officers from the Satellite Town Division, Lagos, we took the matter seriously and acted immediately.
The DPO and the officers involved were summoned, statements were obtained, and detailed interviews were conducted.
Preliminary findings indicate the incident occurred in May 2025. We are working to obtain additional details directly from the victims, as their accounts are central to the investigation.
This process is not a cover-up; it is a demonstration of accountability.
The Leadership of the Force management team, has emphasized that the rule of law is non-negotiable in the discharge of police duties nationwide. No officer is above accountability, and no incident is too old to investigate. The investigation is ongoing. We will provide regular updates.
To every Nigerian who spoke up, your voice prompted accountability, as it should be.

Following my post of 29th March, 2026, officers of the Anti-Cultism Unit in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra Police Command have refunded the sum of One Million, Four Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand Naira (₦1,485,000) criminally extorted. The officers involved in the unlawful arrest, torture, and detention of the following individuals have now been identified. Mr. Makuachukwu Emmanuel Agu, Mr. Chukwuebuka David, Mr. Daberechi Vitalis Njoku, and Mr. Tochukwu Joshua were arrested and tortured to confess of being members of a secret cult and forced them to transfer the money into an account the officers provided. The Complaint Response Unit from the Office of the Inspector General of Police is currently in Awka to ensure the victims get justice. Let’s fact-check the president. He specifically mentioned suffering in Kenya.
Fuel prices in Kenya have remained the same throughout the war in Iran. No kobo was added as a result of the war.
However, a liter of fuel there sells for 1,800 naira. Again, while the minimum wage in Nigeria is ₦70,000, Kenya’s minimum wage is a little above ₦170,000. So, Kenya’s minimum wage is more than twice Nigeria’s.
Meanwhile, Kenya isn’t an oil-producing country.
I guess whoever is advising the president either doesn’t understand what is happening out there or gave him the wrong information.
