'Gaslight' is not just a direct synonym for 'lying.'
It's a specific sort of abuse where the perpetrator intentionally does things and lies about it to make the victim doubt their own judgment or even to think they are going crazy.
I know it sounds cool, but stop overusing it.

Show up. Be willing to speak. Stop clinging to frameworks you esteem as more important than the truth. It's life and death. This isn't a game. Be proactive in telling the truth. Ask what you can do. Come back and ask again.
