I am proud to announce my first bill with the ambition to legalise nuclear energy in Ireland. 101 years ago, Ireland broke ground on the Shannon Hydroelectric Scheme. In our past we had an ambition to do what was necessary. Now we must do so again. businesspost.ie/politics/new-l…

The No.1 reason why Micheál Martin needs to go A global economic war for energy has begun. Ireland has its own oil. We are the envy the world. Not using it is economic self-sabotage wrapped up in a sanctimonious narcissism around climate change. Reality is coming.

@JakeFitzsimons I don’t think the way the current FF are leaning into article 5 is what the authors intended.

This Fianna Fáil document from last century. Imagine showing this to Martin, Chambers and O'Callaghan now. What do we think?

These are some cowboys! Look at the BACKLOG of appeals in Ireland by asylum seekers at our International Protection Appeals Tribunal, run by Jim O'Callaghan/Colm Brophy Dept of Justice. They've increased 700% in the past two years. In 2025 they increased at a net of 25 per day (41 new applications, 16 cases closed). At the end of March 2026, there was a BACKLOG of 19,969 appeals, up from 2,478 in September 2023. This backlog will NEVER be cleared, and the only solution will be an amnesty. If any graph sums up how this government has totally lost control of the asylum system, this is it.

The International Protection Bill 2026 has passed through the Houses of the Oireachtas. The objective of the Bill is to provide a fair, sustainable and efficient asylum procedure, consistent with asylum laws across the EU. gov.ie/en/department-… @OCallaghanJim @brophytalks

The BBC says it will "review" its climate coverage. Not because it suddenly found integrity, but because it got caught. A leaked letter from a former standards advisor accused executives of ignoring "widespread evidence of skewed reporting." The BBC has skewed the truth for years to push a political agenda. It claimed human CO2 made US heat waves "35 times more likely," it said wildfires were exploding because of climate change, and it sold Net Zero as an economic miracle while hiding the costs. These are all falsehoods. The data, in many cases, show the exact opposite. And when challenged, the BBC quietly edited, deleted or buried the evidence. Even the regulator Ofcom ordered entire climate programs be pulled for dishonesty. This isn't journalism, it's propaganda. But the public is cottoning on and switching off. In the past two years alone, roughly a million UK households have stopped paying the BBC license fee.

It is quite strange to be listening to very insistent messaging from the government about how important oil and oil refining is to the country when they have banned all oil exploration.

@Rubicon_ie @realDonaldTrump So by making life unaffordable by mass murdering children, Donald Trump was playing 4d chess and it's good because people are protesting, just not again him. Wow

This won't be popular but Irish taxes on fuel aren't out of line with many EU countries. You can disagree with the amount, sure, I do, but we aren't some crazy outlier.

Something has shifted in Ireland. What simmered beneath the surface has broken through. You can feel it in the air, a country pushed too far, now moving with purpose. People are awake, resolute, & pressing forward, demanding accountability & real change from those in power. 🇮🇪❤️

The start/stop concept in vehicles is almost universally DESPISED. So, the Trump EPA has now REMOVED the ridiculous climate participation trophy the Obama Admin created to get this hated feature installed. The incentives for manufacturers to make your car die at every red light and stop sign have now been ELIMINATED!
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

The stop-start engine has become an annoyance to many American drivers, who argue that it makes driving feel unnatural, jerky and unenjoyable. The feature, designed to lower auto emissions, is set to be eliminated by the White House. on.wsj.com/3OqcuDg
