I work in manufacturing and they loved telling us stories about avoiding work, bringing prostitutes on site, leaving work to drink at lunch etc. they had paper punches and nothing was monitored, the younger kids today work 10x as hard.

My son graduated from homeschool. He has been accepted to a state university for the fall. Current problem: The university will not accept the transcript unless it is in a sealed envelope from the high school he graduated. 😵‍💫

@PaoolBz @SeanMcCarthyCom If you make more than $30 an hour as the OP example, your time is literally worth more than going to grocery story and making a sandwhich before work. Also you have to factor moral into it, you'll be depressed eating the same thing every day at work for a week.

@Fredfredsonnyc @darkacademician I’ve worked with a few unions and it’s rarely ‘just hire more people’. Seniority, weird union loopholes, layoff and transfer groups etc can overinflate OT without those people actually physically working the hours. I guarantee those people didn’t work that much OT.

@DataDrivenEm0 @nolightupstairs He's not auditing them, you need to be actually affiliated with the university to audit, I think security should kick out people just randomly walking in to classes? In my university you have to scan the door to even get in, otherwise it raises obvious safety issues

Went to our anniversary dinner at a nice restaurant tonight where we were recorded by our server, apparently through his glasses, without our permission for his Instagram channel. As we paid, he showed us his Instagram channel and showed us the video he took and asked if he could post it. We asked him to delete it and if his manager knew he was recording diners. He just said no one else has ever complained. I asked to talk to the manager. Manager seemed to know and asked “if the light was on.” I assume this meant on the glasses indicating he was recording. We noticed no light. He said he would make him remove the glasses, which was how we became aware he was recording with the glasses. Needless to say, I am now a dog with a bone and this is not over.
