🚨 BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene just admitted the Epstein files were blocked by Donald Trump himself. “He fought the hardest to STOP these files from being released.” Not Democrats. Not the DOJ. Not “the deep state.” Trump.

Data centers and AI are gobbling up electricity, but the share differs significantly by state. Between 2010 and 2025, data centers went from less than 5% to roughly 40% of Virginia's electricity consumption. Sweet jesus.

Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame! And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.

🚨🇺🇸 THE $5 TRILLION PROOF THAT AMERICA NEEDS A THIRD PARTY Elon is right. When Congress passes the biggest debt ceiling increase in history, something is fundamentally broken. Senator Rand Paul exposed the uncomfortable truth: This bill adds $270 billion to the deficit next year while raising the debt ceiling by $5 trillion. That astronomical number isn't just spending, it's an admission that both parties have given up on fiscal responsibility. The cycle is predictable and soul-crushing. Republicans campaign on smaller government, Democrats on helping working families. Both get elected, both feed the same machine. The debt explodes, the establishment wins, Americans lose. This isn't about attacking conservatives who voted for this bill, it's about recognizing a system that forces good people into bad choices. When the only options are Big Government Party A and Big Government Party B, the deep state wins by default. Polling shows 60-70% of Americans desperately want a viable third option. They're exhausted by the uniparty theater where corporate donors pull the strings while the national debt becomes a generational curse. The America Party isn't just a protest vote, it's a liberation movement. A chance to break the stranglehold of special interests and give power back to actual people. When both parties fail this spectacularly, a third way isn't radical. It's necessary. Source: Reuters, NYT, The Guardian, Fox

@JDVance The massive flaw in your argument is that DNI and NIC said just LAST MARCH that there is no evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons and hasn't been since 2003. Mic drop.

Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue: First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways--the easy way or the "other" way. Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of "civilian nuclear power" and "uranium enrichment." These are distinct issues. Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that. Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose. They've been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization. It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity. And it's still another to cling to enrichment while simultaneously violating basic non-proliferation obligations and enriching right to the point of weapons-grade uranium. I have yet to see a single good argument for why Iran needed to enrich uranium well above the threshold for civilian use. I've yet to see a single good argument for why Iran was justified in violating its non-proliferation obligations. I've yet to see a single good pushback against the IAEA's findings. Meanwhile, the president has shown remarkable restraint in keeping our military's focus on protecting our troops and protecting our citizens. He may decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment. That decision ultimately belongs to the president. And of course, people are right to be worried about foreign entanglement after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy. But I believe the president has earned some trust on this issue. And having seen this up close and personal, I can assure you that he is only interested in using the American military to accomplish the American people's goals. Whatever he does, that is his focus.

@RTCynic @JamesSurowiecki The US fought tooth and nail at Bretton Woods and every year since to be the world’s reserve currency. It is a MASSIVE advantage. Read the book The Battle for Bretton Woods.

@JamesSurowiecki On a country to country basis it is ludicrous. But a current account deficit as a whole is a significant issue for a country long term. Its basically the reason why America is forced to be the reserve currency and fight so many wars.

I don't think Trump is looking to do either of these things (though he will grant carve-outs if it suits him). He just wants to get rid of every trade deficit we have with every country in the world, because he thinks a trade deficit is proof that you're getting ripped off.

An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America. ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix. ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations. This week, 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel. If you know anything about this, please post in replies. Thanks, Elon.

@Claire_V0ltaire @AOC You're blatantly wrong. AIPAC spent over $100 million in 2024 alone. Every GOP congressmember (and surely Dems) has an "AIPAC buddy." @AOC AIPAC is ranked 199 in 2024 out of 9000 lobbying organizations. They’re not even scratching top 100. Exist polls show only 3-4% of voters had foreign policy as their top concern. The gist of your post is a perfect example why the party lost.

My thoughts on Biden dropping out: Joe Biden was discarded by the same billionaire class he assiduously served throughout his political career. Barely able to stumble his way through the words on a Teleprompter and not always cognizant of what is happening around him, his billionaire supporters pulled the plug. He was their creature – he has been in federal office for 47 years - from start to finish. He was used as a foil to defeat Bernie Sanders in the 2020 primaries and was anointed as the candidate in 2024 in a Soviet-style primary campaign. The billionaire class will now anoint someone else. Democratic Party voters are stage props in this political farce. Donald Trump, unlike Kamala Harris or any other apparatchik the billionaire class selects as a presidential candidate, has a genuine and committed base, however fascistic. In Hitler and the Germans, the political philosopher Eric Vogelin dismisses the idea that Hitler — gifted in oratory and political opportunism but poorly educated and vulgar — mesmerized and seduced the German people. The Germans, he writes, supported Hitler and the “grotesque, marginal figures” surrounding him because he embodied the pathologies of a diseased society, one beset by economic collapse and hopelessness. Voegelin defines stupidity as a “loss of reality.” The loss of reality means a “stupid” person cannot “rightly orient his action in the world, in which he lives.” The demagogue, who is always an idiote, is not a freak or social mutation. The demagogue expresses the society’s zeitgeist. Biden and the Democratic Party are responsible for this zeitgeist. They orchestrated the deindustrialization of the United States, ensuring that 30 million workers lost their jobs in mass layoffs. As I write in America, The Farewell Tour, this assault on the working class created a crisis that forced the ruling elites to devise a new political paradigm. Trumpeted by a compliant media, this paradigm shifted its focus from the common good to race, crime and law and order. Biden was at the epicenter of this paradigm shift. Those undergoing profound economic and political change were told that their suffering stemmed not from rampant militarism and corporate greed but from a threat to national integrity. The old consensus that buttressed New Deal programs and the welfare state was attacked as enabling criminal Black youth, “welfare queens” and other alleged social parasites. This opened the door to a faux populism, begun by Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, which supposedly championed family values, traditional morality, individual autonomy, law and order, the Christian faith and the return to a mythical past, at least for white Americans. The Democratic Party, especially under Bill Clinton and Biden, became largely indistinguishable from the establishment Republican Party to which it is now allied. The Democratic Party refuses to accept its responsibility for the capture of democratic institutions by a rapacious oligarchy, the grotesque social inequality, the cruelty of predatory corporations and an unchecked militarism. The Democrats will anoint another amoral politician, probably Harris, to use as a mask for outsized corporate greed, the folly of endless war, the facilitation of genocide and the assault on our most basic civil liberties. The Democrats, tools of Wall Street, gave us Trump, and the 74 million people who voted for him in 2020. They look set to give us Trump again. God help us.
Joe Biden@JoeBiden

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.
