@Bornesman @smileycherry2 @KenyaRailways_ The rail is the priority because it prevents derailments, everything else is just an extra. Treating peripheral systems as secondary concerns.

@TangoFox_ @smileycherry2 @KenyaRailways_ Siku nilipitia hapo hata sikuamini. Was genuinely shocked.
The way people talk about KR and its seriousness about their property, I thought their "metal" would be spared by the damn crooks.

These people are a menace and they should be dealt with, otherwise, we won't have road furniture in a few years.
They are also handling a lot of metal materials stolen from construction sites by ngubus👇

@shobanes Scrap dealers should take a copy of ID against photos of what's delivered to them for traceability, but I know implementation won't work. In one project, we had to go with an excavator to a scrap dealers yard threatened to flatten his premise so as to stop stealing road signs.

@Adenya_E @Bornesman @JaMtoka In the video at 0.21-0.22 that's already a point of weakness and shows why shoulders are important. A heavy downpour would likely cause a washout here & cut the road into 2 at this point. With no road marking, shoulders & road signs, avoid this road at night and when it's raining.

English

@TangoFox_ @Bornesman @JaMtoka Mvua ikinyeshanyesha hii barabara ita survive kweli?🌚 I know the engineers did their job but the sides dont really ‘look’ like they can sustain proper rain coming our way.
English

@Bornesman This is under @KeRRA_Ke. Road is under defects liability period without road marking and already patching long stretches of potholes, that's a sign of a poorly done road. It won't survive long term rains. Without shoulders if you car breaks down, safety is compromised.

Barabara ishaanza kupata potholes na haijamaliziwa kabisa lmao
Kenya is so tiring man. Also, where are the road shoulders, and what class is this road?

🚨Chilling surveillance footage has emerged showing the moment Air Canada Flight AC8646 collided with a Port Authority fire truck on the runway at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) last night.
Authorities have confirmed that both pilots were killed in the crash. Dozens of passengers, along with the two fire truck occupants, were injured and transported to nearby hospitals.
The airport remains closed as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) begins its investigation into the deadly incident.
Incident Summary
• Flight: Air Canada Express AC8646 (operated by Jazz Aviation) from Montreal
• Casualties: Captain and First Officer died; 40+ others hurt
• Cause: Preliminary information and ATC audio indicate the fire truck was responding to a separate “odor” emergency involving a United Airlines flight and had been cleared to cross the runway, leading to the collision

A road of such importance but @KeNHAKenya did an extremely poor job. Look how bad it is getting. Also, no shoulders.

@KenyanSays These flickering lights are the worst thing to encounter on the road at night or during the day. They don't help the rider see better; they just blind other drivers. It’s a reckless and counterproductive DIY 'upgrade'.
English

@magogonidaily Something like this for Kisumu, Eldoret, Malindi & Ukunda airports.

Scrap dealing is so much of a problem, road authorities inabidi waandike, 'Material, Fiberglass. No value' kwa sign posts.
