Despite her title, Her Excellency the UAE Minister of State is not an elected politician. A member of a prominent Emirati family, she was given the position by decree from the unelected non-democratic authoritarian regime, that is the dictatorship of United Arab Emirates. These points ought to have been included in the PM’s briefing notes: 👉 ‘Human rights organisations frequently critique the high-profile appointments of young, Western-educated female ministers — arguing these roles are leveraged as a public relations tool to mask the country's lack of democratic elections, restrictive speech laws, and human rights record.’ 👉👉 ‘UAE's Counterterrorism Law of 2014 allows for life imprisonment or death sentences to be passed against political dissidents and human rights defenders.’ 👉👉👉 ‘International human rights organisations strongly criticise the UAE for widespread practices of modern slavery and forced labour — these conditions primarily impact the country's vast migrant worker population, who make up the majority of the UAE workforce.’
Anthony Albanese@AlboMP

Today I met with Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation. Australia and the UAE have a strong relationship, and Australia is committed to stability in the region. We discussed our ongoing work on the security of the UAE, and I thanked her for the support provided to Australians during the conflict in the Middle East. 🇦🇺🇦🇪

Just before approving of another “pin prick” attack on Iran during “negotiations”, Trump posted this wall of text . Not only is the US empire using negotiations to attack, a war crime, it is also using them to placate Israel and isolate his own Middle East “allies” ally requiring Arab monarchies to join the Abraham Accords to appease Israel. Trump is trying to win in negotiations what the US lost on the battlefield. The world has changed and the US won’t get what it wants, whether it goes back to full war for 2 weeks or keeps on its current path.

“A big part of New Zealand’s foreign policy since the 1980s has been semi-detachment with great power, and a strong, independent voice on international issues. New Zealand’s refusal to recognise Palestinian statehood in September last year completely undermines this approach to international relations. This is seen to be an alignment with the United States and Israel on an issue about which 157 countries stand against us. In this case, New Zealand’s actions do not match its stated principles. The gap between principle and practice raises questions about our level of commitment to multilateralism. In falling back on a selective approach to an international rules-based order, New Zealand’s foreign policy risks becoming morally meaningless. Neutrality begins to look less like a principle and more like avoidance.”
Robert Patman@Robert_Patman

President Trump claims he is trying to find negotiated end to the war, but by his actions he is sabotaging it. These posts on TruthSocial and the order that he apparently gave to the military to attack multiple targets in Iran overnight, produce the opposite of peace. In order to end a conflict that is in a ceasefire status, you have to engage in confidence building measures that move towards peace. Literally everything President Trump is doing is pushing things closer to the brink of war, not peace. Words are important, but never as important as actions, and President Trump‘s deeds imply he is trying to restart this war. “Peace through strength” is only possible if the actions are guided by wisdom. Using military force without intelligent thought in a strategic plan, equals disaster, which is apparently where we’re headed.

I am told the US strikes are over for now. Again these were defensive in nature not offensive and not an effort to break the ceasefire. The US military says it reacted when they saw 2 IRGC boats laying mines and then also when a SAM missile site targeted its warplanes.
Jennifer Griffin@JenGriffinFNC

MORE details on US strikes vs Iranian targets today: 2 Iranian boats were caught laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, senior US official tells me. The US military eliminated both IRGC vessels and also struck at a SAM (surface to air missile) site in Bandar Abbas that was targeting US warplanes. “These were defensive strikes.” They do not indicate ceasefire is over, according to two well placed sources.

🚨 do you understand what just happened with Rupert Lowe.. The outspoken leader of the “far-right” Restore Britain party, famous for his hardline campaigns against immigration, halal slaughter, burqas, sharia, and “Islamist influence,” just proudly posted photos of his son’s wedding… into a Libyan immigrant family… • His Son Angus married Yasmin Mezran • Yasmin is the daughter of Libyan-born Karim Mezran • Karim is a prolific pro-Islam academic • And a senior fellow at the pro-immigration Atlantic Council • The wedding menu reportedly served halal meat! Then the replies from his own supporters started flooding in: • “Encouraging your English child to marry a fucking foreigner?” • “Proud that he married a brown foreign invader?” • “Their kids won’t be English. This is not restoring Britain.” The man who calls halal slaughter “morally repugnant” and wants to ban it… had it served at his own son’s wedding. The man who says “million must go” and that Islam is the enemy… proudly celebrating the marriage of his son into an immigrant Muslim family. The optics for the “no-compromise” “Restore Britain” leader, are brutal.

You’ll never believe this. The leader of the “far right” Restore party in Britain is Rupert Lowe. He’s famous for hating Muslims and aims to ban Halal food. His son Angus just married into Islam. The Restore party is now the Revert party 😂

I’ve been trying to make sense of Trump acceding to an agreement. He could have just walked away, as people like Joe Kent and Danny Davis were asking him to do. He could have spinned that as a victory. Once the US blockade was gone, Iran would have opened the strait for innocent passage anyway, which is still what will be happening under the current stated Iranian position. Why accept an agreement, even a temporary ceasefire, that so many powerful people are against? The best explanation I have is that he believes he can still coerce Iran during this process. I don’t think he has given up on his goals. Otherwise, he would have just walked away. I expect more manipulation and pressure from him. I don’t believe we have seen the end of this play.

Saudi Arabia expecting Israel to give up sovereignty over half the country in exchange for “normalization” can go fly a kite. If adding Saudi Arabia and Qatar to the Abraham Accords requires Israel to cut itself into pieces and make concessions that endanger its own existence, then maybe Israel should stop chasing these deals altogether. Israel survived 77 years without Riyadh’s approval. It will survive without it for another 77. Woof. The audacity of demanding concessions from Israel as if Israel owes them something in the first place is mind-blowing.

Pakistan responded to Trump’s demand that they, along with other countries, sign the Abraham Accords to normalise relations with Israel. Pakistan is demanding that the US rather give Palestinians their State. Saudi Arabia has long stated that there will be no normalisation with Israel without a Palestinians state. Netanyahu has declared it a policy of Israel that there will be no Palestinians state. His terrorist regime is passing legislation to annex Gaza and the West Bank. It was delusional of Netanyahu to believe that coercing Trump to make such ridiculous demands would yield positive results.

CETNCOM CONFIRMS U.S. Attacked Iran's Navy on Fox 🇺🇸 CENTCOM Spokesperson to Fox News: U.S. forces conducted self-defense strikes in southern Iran today to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces. Targets included missile launch sites and Iranian boats attempting to emplace mines. U.S. Central Command continues to defend our forces while using restraint during the ongoing ceasefire. Bandar Abbas explosion sounds are under investigation but Iranian IRIB reported the situation has ended. Remember Trump's AI Adios Post from yesterday, we now know it was in reference to the U.S. Attacking the IRGC Navy. 🇮🇷 Today we heard reports of Iran shooting down around 4 U.S. MQ-9 drones. the same one in the image. AI has come to life...

BIG CLASH between U.S. and Iran Near Kharg Island 🇮🇷 IRGC Launches Cruise Missiles and Drones at U.S. Destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz American aircraft struck two IRGC vessels earlier today, killing a number of Revolutionary Guards. The IRGC navy is now hitting back. IRGC naval forces are targeting American destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz with cruise missiles and drones. Fires are simultaneously burning on Kharg Island, Iran's PRIMARY oil export terminal. BANDAR ABBAS UPDATE: Multiple American drones, possibly MQ-9 Reapers, were shot down near Bandar Abbas roughly an hour ago, believed to have been hunting the launch sites of Iranian missiles targeting U.S. warships.

Chamberlain's appeasement of Hitler doesn't even come close to that of Israel's by the Arab states. Now, Trump is demanding they sign the Abraham Accords and "normalise" relations with Israel. ie. complete surrender and capitulation. He wants to throw them ALL at Iran.
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

🚨 Trump demands Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan sign Abraham Accords as condition of Iran deal President Trump posted on Truth Social Monday demanding that all countries involved in Iran negotiations simultaneously sign the Abraham Accords, describing it as a prerequisite for any deal and warning those who refuse would be excluded from the agreement. “It should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords,” Trump wrote, naming Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain as targets. The UAE and Bahrain are already members. 🔸Trump warned: “If they don’t, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention.” 🔸He said it “should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit.” 🔸He also dangled Iran’s own potential membership, writing: “If Iran signs its Agreement with me… it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition.” 🔹The Abraham Accords, brokered during Trump’s first term, normalized relations between Israel and the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Kazakhstan. Trump’s demand would require the mediating countries to recognize Israel and normalize relations as a condition of ending the Iran war — a significant ask given that Saudi Arabia has publicly conditioned any normalization on a credible and irreversible path to Palestinian statehood, a position shared in various forms by Turkey, Egypt, and others on the list. 🔹The demand comes as the U.S. has allowed Israel to continue the daily killing of Palestinians in Gaza for more than seven months since the October 2025 Trump-brokered ceasefire, with over 900 Palestinians killed since the agreement was approved by Israel. The U.S. and Israel are also deliberately blocking minimum levels of food, medicine, shelter, fuel, and reconstruction aid. 🔹President Trump has also removed sanctions on the most violent Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, where rampant state-backed settler violence to uproot Palestinian families has gone unchecked since the start of his second term. 🔹Trump closed his social media post with a warning: “It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all — Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before.”
