Hey, @Polymaker_3D - a suggestion: it'd be nice if you'd show the material type on your Pnachroma filaments. I have sevral spools of Panchroma CoPE and PLA, and there is nothing on the box or spool to tell me which is which, and they are not interchangeable. Labeling matters.

@reprinted3D @Prusa3D @PrintedSolid Did filament crack In Bowden tube? That has caused stuck filament for me because it cracked right at the fine spot between sensor and gears pulling it down.

Just happened again. @Prusa3D, @PrintedSolid, this is NOT what I would call “reliable” or “dependable.” I’m going out of town for 10 days on Friday afternoon. This was supposed to be done Friday morning. At this rate, it’ll sit on the build plate, unfinished, while I’m gone.😡

@UncleJessy4Real I hit that satin plate with a light dusting of aqua net ultra hair spray before any big print like this just for insurance.

Prime/purge tower finally fell over 😭 It ain’t pretty but there is only 5 hours left so going to let it keep rolling and then attempt it again. Going to start drying some filament now 😂🤣 99% sure it was due to the random spool of white PLA causing excess ozzing

Should we bring back bowden printing? Most extrusion consistancy issues are negated at the cost of worst pressure advance control, which can now be tuned fairly easily. Or maybe a short path bowden, figure out the optimal length for quality/fast printing.

@ZombieHedgehog_ Mine has been great. Owned since Oct 2023. Done a few 2 day helmet prints. I think I typically use only 3 of my tools at once for multicolor. I have never done a 5x color print. I keep TPU loaded on tool 5.

It's nearly time to get an XL... I've spent too much time seeing a small amount of people complain loudly about their experiences with this printer, there's no way the majority of users have constant issues with it. But that's also a ton of money to invest. What would you do?

@reprinted3D @Prusa3D @SUNLU_3D I run into an issue that my filament gets brittle and starts breaking at multiple points if I do not remove it after a print. The humidity plus being in the tube is not a great combo. I don’t have enough space or dry boxes to constantly be drying filament.

Has anyone built one of these for their @Prusa3D #XL? I'm wondering if it's any good, or works, especially since it requires the sacrifice of a @SUNLU_3D #S4 filament dryer. aliexpress.us/item/325680920…

@ZombieHedgehog_ Does it hold the rolls well if they are still in their bags? My env is too humid to store filament outside their bags.

@WillowCreativ I can’t seem to find STL files on my own hard drive and I know I don’t delete them. Luckily Thangs has them backed up and the search works there. My Mac refuses to find file names of stl files half the time unless I go to terminal prompt and use Linux commands to help me.

@loyalmoses @VisionMiner @lulzbot3D Hear me out now….. put it in an aerosol can like the Aqua net hair spray can I have been using since 2019. I’m not saying Aqua can touch vision minor but the application process would rock vs that micro brush .

@ZombieHedgehog_ I usually do perimeters at max speed printed on roll but the outer walls I slow to about 10-15 mms below that. So if it is 70mms max for that roll I’ll do outers at 55-60. If it is a very detailed print I’ll go 45. Just because you CAN print fast does not mean you SHOULD.

Am I the only one who sets their outer wall speed slower for more consistant surface finishes? What outer wall speed do you print with for a standard PLA? 🤔

I don’t know who needs to hear this… but CALM DOWN, it’s just a 3D printer.

@ZombieHedgehog_ Mine spends time there sometimes that I consider too long. I have it in my notes to check belt tension. I’m currently printing a top cover mod so I have easier access to the top of the extruder when needed. I’ll check belt tension at that time.
