🚛⚡ Just got back from the Tesla Megacharger in Ontario, CA — the first one open to external Semi fleet customers! Walked the whole site, got up close with those massive liquid-cooled cables and heavy-duty stalls, and explored the entire setup. The engineering is seriously impressive. Charging specs here: This site delivers up to 750 kW per stall (full Megachargers can hit 1.2 MW). At peak power, the Tesla Semi can recover up to ~60% of its ~500-mile range — that’s roughly 300+ miles of range in about 30 minutes during a driver break. Even at 750 kW it’s a huge leap for trucking efficiency. What still shocked me: dozens of traditional diesel semis just sitting there idling for who knows how long, engines running, burning fuel and spewing exhaust right next to the electric future. The Tesla Semi is going to be a total game changer — zero emissions, drastically lower operating costs (no diesel, minimal maintenance), instant torque, and megawatt-class charging that keeps trucks moving with almost no downtime. As a charging destination, it delivers exactly what matters: reliable, high-usage stalls combined with a clean, retro-futuristic spot for quick snacks or a sit-down break. Contrary to some early negative coverage calling it a flop, on-the-ground reality paints a different picture—steady traffic, happy customers charging and grabbing food, and a vibe that turns a routine EV stop into something more enjoyable. It’s thriving as the practical Supercharger hub it was built to be, while adding that small delight factor. The numbers and foot traffic don’t lie: this one’s working. ⚡🍔
