🚨As national attention intensifies, Nolan’s mother, Christine Wonsley, has taken to social media to thank everyone for the support. In her recent post she said the following. Thank you all so much for your love & support. The loss is so fresh and still we haven’t been able to grieve. This loss hits so differently than anything I’ve ever experienced. My heart will never be whole again. My sweet Nolan your light will continue to shine and I’m grateful to the Lord for the time we had 🩵. Forever in our hearts. #JusticeForNolan #Forever18 #grief Who Was Nolan Wells? Nolan Xavier Wells was an 18-year-old native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He was a well-known, highly popular standout athlete who had just graduated from Ocean Springs High School. He was a wide receiver for Southwest Mississippi Community College and was preparing to head back to campus for his sophomore season. His parents, Christine Wonsley and Elmore Wonsley, described him as a deeply kind, "happy-go-lucky" kid with a massive heart who knew how to swim and was in peak physical shape. The "Last Hurrah" Boat Trip On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Nolan went out on a private boat to Horn Island an uninhabited, undeveloped barrier island about 8 to 10 miles off the Mississippi Gulf Coast that is heavily packed with hundreds of boats and thousands of people celebrating the holiday. His father noted that the trip was meant to be Nolan’s "last hurrah" with friends before he had to report to mandatory football camp. Nolan traveled to the island with three friends. What happened late that afternoon is the core of the mystery and where the major contradictions begin: The Friends' Account: The group returned to the mainland without Nolan. According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the friends claimed Nolan willingly chose to stay behind on the island because he was talking to a young woman and assumed he would catch a ride back with a different group of friends. The Mother's Facebook Post & Search: Around 11:00 p.m. that night, one of the friends contacted Nolan's mother to say he was missing. She filed a missing persons report just after midnight, sparking a massive 40-hour multi-agency search involving the U.S. Coast Guard, local fire departments, and the United Cajun Navy. The Discovery: On Monday morning, July 6, a National Park Service ranger discovered Nolan's body in the water near the northwestern tip of Horn Island. The family is currently waiting on independent forensics, cell phone recovery data, and the official state autopsy to find out exactly how Nolan ended up in the water.

The internet ran with a theory… so I went looking for the evidence and it led me to believe that the Nolan Wells pool party photo was not taking on June 25th as some have claimed!

Local authorities and a friend of Wells stated the image was actually from a June 27th gathering in Pass Christian, Mississippi, and was not connected to the weekend of his disappearance. Can we just stop this? These lies and rumors are getting old.

🚨HUGE NOLAN WELLS UPDATE! Two new pictures discovered. Did Nolan’s friend delete this? And what’s up with the comments that said the boat was being cleaned after he went missing? Ben Crump is amplifying all of this information btw. Everything explained. 👇🏾

@supertalk These paid race baiters just want to keep us living in the past so we can never walk in our destiny. I think Nolan Wells and his friends rejected this premise that whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics etc cannot be united as brothers and sisters. Take a lesson!

It pains me deeply to watch Ben Crump, Al Sharpton, some in the national media, and others drag Mississippi through the mud for their own thirst for money and the spotlight. Crump is representing the family. He is doing his job, pushing for answers. But invoking Mississippi’s past in this case does not help. It stirs up old divisions instead of seeking truth. Emmett Till and other dark chapters are real history. We do not deny them. Yet Mississippi today is not that Mississippi. We have grown. We have changed. And we refuse to let every tragedy become a referendum on our entire state. Nolan and his friends went to that island together as brothers, not strangers. It was far from their first time. The very act of them going to Horn Island together stands as proof of Mississippi’s incredible progress. Black and White young men enjoying our waters side by side. That is who we have become. I have been enjoying Horn Island for decades. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth, with its pristine beaches and untouched nature. It is also dangerous. Strong currents, sudden drop-offs, and boat traffic on a holiday weekend demand respect. Drownings happen there. Sadly. We cannot sit back and let others who do not know us slam us. Look at the new Mississippi flag. It stands for progress and unity. There’s no division stitched into our symbols. And “One Mississippi,” our new state song, reminds us of who we are. One state. One people. Black and White and every shade in between. In this state, we survived Hurricane Katrina and other disasters shoulder to shoulder. We rebuilt homes, businesses, and lives as neighbors, not enemies. Croatian, Vietnamese, Black, White, Hispanic, and more – a melting-pot spirit defines us from the Coast to the Delta, to Tupelo, and everywhere in between.

These people are ridiculous. They have lost all tethers to a sense of self. Their entire identity now relies on this treasonous hate of America. They make up fantasies of how horrible America never was to justify their need to "fight tyranny." They have no identity but this. And they cling to it with a death grip, because they have nothing else. None of it is true. Not the fantasy about America about which she is shrieking, not her identity of believing herself to be some "hero" in a movie about an oppressive government, and not the resulting congress-free, senate-free, President-free, childish (and completely chaotic) future she sees for this country. She is an infant. She and others like her will not get their way. Not even close. If you have a modicum of common sense, it's time to let your line in the sand about tolerance be made known. Myself, I have a limit to tolerance. I have a limit to patience. I know there is a limit to free speech. If your plan is to tear down the United States of America, if your plan is treason, I will not tolerate you, I will have zero patience for you, and I will not defend your right to free speech. @FBI @FBIDirectorKash

@SaveJxn When Dylan Roof committed the heinous crime in Charleston SC, Al Sharpton tried to come stir up total racial division in the city, but the mayor was too smart and asked the black Christian leaders to send him packing and the result was peace and unity.

WATCH: @JasonRantz SCHOOLS Benjamin Crump adviser claiming without evidence Nolan Wells's death was both a murder and racially motivated, citing "400 years" of black life in America and arguing Jason doesn't understand this case b/c he's not a parent... "Let's be precise because a kid is dead here. What's the actual evidence? Not a feeling, not a vibe. What is evidence that anyone has produced that shows race had anything to do with this?" "I'm talking about this case! I'm talking about this case!" "This has nothing to do with a lack of empathy. You're calling for an investigation. Everyone -- is anyone saying there shouldn't be an investigation?" "You're accusing someone of not showing empathy. I'm simply saying: Have you seen any evidence that suggests the police aren't doing an investigation? I get there's questions to be answered, right?" "I don't [have an issue with an independent investigation]. I have an issue with people who are maybe paying too close attention to the race element here before they have any of those details, and setting a narrative that is setting up that family to maybe not accept what actually happened. Again, I had no idea what happened! I think I'd actually wait at least in part for some of the details to come out, including the autopsy"

@WellsJorda89710 I would want to see Karmelos music Playlist and the lyrics. Music is a powerful preacher and teacher. Violence in culture must be condemned by the entirety of the community and generations from the time these kids are born no matter what. Shun this behavior and stop embracing it.

@isaiahrobinlive I have also heard by those in the know that he tithes more than anyone in the church. He also almost died as a child from illness but his mom prayed for him and he got well. Joel is an "ear" in the body of Christ. Weird looking to some but greatly needed.

I was not following God much in my 20s and was pretty sinful. I got married and went on our honeymoon to Mexico. In a crazy situation, my husband and I were held hostage at gunpoint in a private home by corrupt police. All we could do was pray the Lords prayer and trust He would save us. I was so afraid we would be executed. But our captors finally left and we made it home. Afterwards I had severe PTSD and had no one to help me. I cried out to Jesus everyday and he sent a counselor who helped me for 6 months to overcome the trauma. In that time, Jesus became by best friend and Savior and I no longer wanted the things of earth and sin. I wanted to live for him and make him famous! God absolutely intervenes in any person's life and touches them in a profound way. Heaven is rejoicing over this man. May he leave his life of sin and fully embrace and follow Jesus all the days of his life and continue to proclaim God's love!

Liar, you are guilty of dark deeds and haven’t been cleared of anything. You stayed at Epstein’s island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico and Epstein’s house in New York. You offered to help him with PR. You gave him gifts … Maybe if it was only one stay over, you could claim it was a mistake. Maybe. But there is NO possible explanation for the second time, let alone the third time. As the record shows, you were an eager repeat customer.
