Love to see this from @dcexaminer: “The decision to aid Ukraine with Patriot missiles could strengthen America’s defense industrial base. But it will certainly send a critical message to friends and foes alike: The U.S. will help those who help themselves, and it has no illusions about who its enemies are.” washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/editor…

This is deranged, even by the standards of Russian state television, and should be a wake-up call to every conservative who defended Russia, excused its aggression, or fantasized about some grand partnership built on lucrative business deals for American elites. They hate America. They hate Americans. And they have absolute contempt for the Westerners arrogant enough to believe they can buy friendship with Moscow. Bless @LauraLoomer for finally seeing what is happening and sounding the alarm. And look at Russia’s reaction. They are telling you exactly who they are. Believe them.

I so deeply agree with the fundamental orientation of this post and its unexpectedly poignant eulogizing of Graham’s legacy. I intend to carry many parts of it forward wherever and however I can. America has enemies. I despise them. I want them defeated. I do not believe every conflict is ours to fight or every corner of the world is ours to remake. But I absolutely believe American power is a force for good, American primacy is worth defending, and our enemies should live with the constant knowledge that harming Americans or threatening our vital interests could bring devastating consequences. I want our friends to trust us, our allies to stand with us, and our enemies to fear us. There is nothing sophisticated about allowing hostile regimes, terrorist organizations, cartels, and foreign intelligence services to kill Americans, poison our communities, attack our interests, and undermine our country while we congratulate ourselves for exercising restraint. Sometimes the moral, strategic, and patriotic answer is overwhelming American force. Choose our enemies carefully. Pick our battles intelligently. Define victory clearly. And then win. I have far more sympathy for the American who occasionally wants to bomb our enemies into oblivion than for the one who can always find another reason why America should tolerate being humiliated, attacked, or weakened. We 💯 need more Americans with Lindsey Graham’s visceral love of this country and his willingness to be ruthless toward those who seek to harm it. I’ll take a “warmonger” over a “peacemonger” any day. The warmonger may sometimes see wars that should not be fought. The peacemonger will always find a reason not to fight the wars that must be won.

Lindsey Graham was a specific type of neocon most people don't understand, and actively demonize. He didn't just wanna stuff his pockets with defense contract money. He didn't wanna just run around bringing gay sex and democracy to desert shitholes. Lindsey Graham, from the bottom of his heart, despised America's enemies. He wanted to blow up our enemies because they hated us, because they were contemptible creatures, and because he loved this place we call home. His love of America could make him look like he hated the world at times. And even as we leave the neocon era and move onto greener pastures, we do need a public and a Congress filled with people of a similar passion. Not a passion to change the world, but to bomb the shit out of it until it does things that benefit us. I obviously don't recommend every American hold this attitude. But it's obvious one of the cardinal sins of the Left and the global economy is to prop up the rest of the world at the expense of everyday Americans. If we can stop hundreds of thousands of drug-related deaths by bombing cartels, we should do that. If we can maintain a higher standard of living for Americans by protecting our hegemony, the hegemony should be protected with confident violence. And if we need to be respected and feared on the world stage by foreigners plotting to destroy us from within, then Americans need to have the part of Lindsey Graham's spirit that enabled us to be something those people fear. They need to believe the American public will support the American government using force to protect our interests and well-being. That we will retaliate if Americans are harmed by them. And right now, the public is far, far gayer than Senator Graham could ever be accused of being on this issue. So, that is my message on the late senator. He loved America enough to be ruthless towards our enemies. And as we get smarter, and pick our battles more wisely, we must keep that same fervor and willingness to be the world's superpower once again. God bless, and Rest in Peace.

Svyridenko, who is resigning from her position as Prime Minister of Ukraine, will take on the role of head of Zelensky's office. ▪️A vast majority in the Rada (258 to 1) voted for Svyridenko's resignation, which also means the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers. ▪️Rada Deputy Vasilevska-Smagliuk stated that the current head, Kirill Budanov (a terrorist and extremist), will become the Minister of Defense.

Niche Ukraine and operational/political psychology comment: For all those aggressively posting about their support for Fedorov across social media platforms, a gentle observation: some leaders mistake growing popularity for disloyalty and, in trying to eliminate a perceived rival, end up destroying a valuable ally. Some leaders do not fear betrayal as much as they fear being eclipsed.

So sad to learn of the sudden passing of my friend @LindseyGrahamSC He was a powerful advocate for America who believed strongly in the NATO Alliance and was actively working to bring an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and terrific team. I will miss him dearly

I have heard from a number of very smart, well-connected, and deeply experienced people who are concerned about the timing and circumstances of Senator Graham’s passing. Yes, it absolutely could be natural. But given the current geopolitical context and the adversaries he aggressively confronted, it is reasonable to ask questions and ensure something more nefarious is conclusively ruled out. Destabilization through ambiguity is where Russia thrives. The absence of answers creates precisely the uncertainty, suspicion, and division Moscow has spent years learning to exploit. Transparency and clarity are the best antidotes to conspiracy theories.

Loved joining Randy this morning to talk about the threats facing America and why we must be eyes wide open about the coordination among our adversaries - China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. He called me the Paulette Revere of sounding the alarm. I’ll take it. And I won’t stop! We cannot defeat threats we refuse to see clearly. American strength begins with understanding the enemy, telling the truth about the danger, and being prepared for what comes next. @IWF

I’ve been to SkyFall. It is an extraordinary company that deserves recognition for its innovation, scale, and values. As America pursues a drone deal with Ukraine, I hope we conduct a rigorous assessment of the entire defense-tech ecosystem and ensure we are partnering with the best companies based on capability, performance, and innovation, free from political connections or entrenched financial interests.

US Senator Lindsey Graham visited Ukraine's SkyFall defense tech facility, inspecting its advanced drones. Graham called it a “huge mistake” for the US not to partner with Ukraine, praising its tech as the most advanced on the planet. kyivpost.com/post/80086

1975: @UTAustin's West Mall. When UT opened in the 1880s, the mall was a busy dirt path that led up to the west wing of Old Main. The foot traffic by professors and students led to commercial development along Guadalupe Street, which evolved into the "Drag."
