guys it's not complicated bengals wanted to add a safety last year. they didn't. it was bad. bengals wanted to add a linebacker this year. they haven't thus far. it's bad until it isn't. them not doing all they set out to do is the definition of old news.

All you have is "2 people went to a thing", but that is insufficient information.

This is an example of just a bad question.
A couple who has 5 sons went for a picnic.
They have sons who have sisters who have babies...
But it lacks information. We know at _least_ two people went to the picnic (the couple).
We have no information about who else did (or importantly, did not) go to the picnic.
So the range here is 2 to (population of Earth).
It's all vagueness.

@IanRunkle @DarkTechMonitor Nah, change it to a picnic in France. You've changed too much in your example. The answer would be 2. It doesn't matter if you have 2 dogs and your 2 dogs have 2 frogs and the 2 frogs sit on 2 logs.
Assume the information given is the information necessary to answer the question.

But the only information that was given to us by the question that expressly tells us who went to the picnic is a couple.

For example, if I say "Bob went to the movie theater", that doesn't tell you that the movie theater was empty. It tells you Bob was present, but the theater could have been packed.
