Richard and Ray are special builders. Excited for the world to see Aemon
Y Combinator@ycombinator

.@Aemon_ai is the AI R&D engineer. Give it a problem and a way to measure success, it then discovers optimal solutions, often going beyond what human experts can find. They just set a new record on circle packing — a classic NP-hard problem — with less than $10 of compute. Learn more at aemon.ai. Congrats on the launch, @Richard__Zhou and @RayXu_official! ycombinator.com/launches/PXs-a…

Today, we’re incredibly excited to announce Golpo 2.0. When we started @GolpoAI, our goal was to make it effortless for anyone to turn ideas into clear, structured explainer videos. Over the past year, we’ve worked obsessively to push that vision forward. High-quality educational video content shouldn’t be limited to institutions with large budgets, production teams, or studio equipment. The ability to explain clearly, with visuals, structure, and narrative, should be accessible to any teacher, student, founder, nonprofit, or team anywhere in the world. Golpo 2.0 makes that possible. With our new AI-native engine, anyone can turn a document, prompt, or lesson into a complete, animated explainer video in minutes. The system understands complex material, structures the story, generates diagrams, animates scenes, and adds voiceover, all automatically, across 50+ languages. This means a teacher can create world-class lessons at scale. A student can visualize difficult concepts instantly. A small team can communicate like a top-tier production studio. We believe the future of education is visual, accessible, and global and Golpo 2.0 is a step toward making that future available to everyone.

Today we’re launching Design Canvas for AI agents. AI can build a feature, but every "design tweak" turns into another prompt. We built a drag & drop editor for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex to explore and iterate on your UI, so you get the best design by default. No endless prompting. Ship better designs in code with Subframe.

@jaltma i think a lot of marketplaces - especially infrequent, commodity purchases - are about to face the same business model disruption saas faces in an agent world why does $bkng get to keep a 15% take rate if nobody needs the ui or the google ad funnel?  hard to see the moat holding

The current consensus view is saas is dead...presuming that's right, the next interesting next question is What companies are "safe from ai"? - handling money, regulation - agents on top of company data - most hardware? - maybe systems of record? - security? - marketplaces?

Today we’re announcing we’ve raised $17.5 million in funding across a $15M Series A led by Chemistry and a $2.7M Seed to accelerate foundation model progress through providing frontier training data for LLMs. When we first started Datacurve, it came from a simple realization: foundation model progress is limited not just by compute, but by data quality and complexity. The right data unlocks new capabilities, especially in coding, where accuracy and reasoning matter most. We’re now proud to partner with the world’s leading foundation-model labs, providing them with high-quality, complex training data that helps push the boundaries of what AI can do. This is still just the start. Come build the future of technology with us in San Francisco: datacurve.ai/careers Huge thanks to our incredible team and investors who’ve believed in us since day one and beyond: @garrytan at @ycombinator, @1vnzh from @cohere , @Mark_Goldberg_ from @chemistry_fund, @TheDerrickLi from @AforeVC, @forwarddeploy, @SoheilK, and @shyamalanadkat.

When we first met @serenaa_ge, she showed us the climbing wall she’d built in her mom’s basement; a tribute to the sport she loved. That wall has since become the perfect metaphor for everything we’ve come to admire about Serena and the @datacurve_ai team: obsession. From the very beginning, she, @charleyslee, and the Datacurve team showed obsession through an uncommon mix of urgency, customer love, and execution. While many chased hype, Datacurve quietly tackled one of the most foundational problems in the AI era: building high-quality data infrastructure for LLMs. What stood out early on wasn’t just the traction, it was how they earned the trust of the most cutting edge AI labs by listening, crafting unique products, and delivering consistently. The Series A is just one milestone, but it reflects a deeper truth: in fast moving markets, advantage goes to the teams who execute relentlessly and adapt without ego. That’s Datacurve. We’re grateful to be on this journey with Serena, Charley, and the entire team—and are thrilled to welcome @Mark_Goldberg_ and the @chemistry_fund team to the climb ahead.  Congratulations on the Series A!

Today, we make history Golpo is launching frame-by-frame editing for AI-generated videos. The first time this has ever been possible. You now have complete creative control at the pixel level. Below we made we made a Golpo video about Y Combinator and in this example we: 1. Swap the Airbnb logo for the Golpo logo 2. Refine Garry Tan’s face so it’s photo-accurate

My goal when I became a full time investor was to be the type of partner I would have most wanted during my time building a company: someone who had done the work I was doing before, who had the network to help me reach my goals faster, and who had my back no matter what. I’m really happy to share that we’ve raised Alt Cap II, a $275M early stage fund. We backed ~20 companies at Seed and Series A in Alt Cap I. The new fund will be the same structure with a bit larger checks. But mostly we just want to be in business with people who inspire us. There’s no way to say it without sounding cheesy but it’s true; I feel unbelievably lucky to do this job in the way I get to do it. A special thanks to the founders that let us back them in Alt Cap I, you all are what it’s all about for me!

Congrats to @DYtweetshere, @FinsamSamson and the entire @AccordanceAI team.  It's been amazing work with them & their tenacity and pace are infectious We at @AforeVC are grateful to be on the journey and it's only getting started 🚀
DY@DYtweetshere

Dear friends, I am incredibly honored to finally unveil what we've been working on in stealth: Accordance. When Finsam and I first started our journey bringing AI out of the research lab, we discovered an industry filled with some of the most thoughtful, principled professionals we'd ever met: tax and accounting practitioners who became our teachers, our guides, and ultimately our partners. As our entire team spent thousands of hours over the last few years climbing the learning curve, what we've discovered is that we're solving something much bigger than we initially realized. We began to see what keeps everyone up at night, and it wasn't what we expected. 75% of senior accounting professionals are retiring in the next decade, with only a 50% replacement rate. Meanwhile, regulations multiply and edge cases explode in complexity. The profession isn't just facing a labor shortage - it's facing an expertise crisis. That's when it clicked - our mission at Accordance matters more than we ever imagined. Most people think "AI for accounting and tax" means automating routine work - but we're doing the opposite. We're building the smartest tax & accounting AI that can handle the most sophisticated advisory work - the stuff that normally takes decades of experience. It's letting junior staff punch way above their weight and giving seasoned experts superpowers they've never had. We're not replacing professionals; we're amplifying their expertise at the exact moment the profession needs it most. The outcomes we're seeing are remarkable. But none of this would have been possible without our world-class team that sharpens iron with iron, our supporters who've been with us every step of this journey, and every professional who opened their doors and trusted us with their most complex challenges. We're grateful to have you on this mission with us.

There’s usually one factor a venture investor tilts on much more than others. Some examples (outside of founders): - market-driven: how does this company generate $1B in revenue one day? - thesis-driven: how does this company map to where I believe value will accrue? - insight-driven: I’m familiar with the domain, but I’ve never heard the problem / solution framed this way Personally, I’ve gravitated towards insight. There’s a certain ‘proof of work’ in a great insight that can do a lot of filtering.
