GAUTENG CITY REGION ECONOMIC GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT PLAN LAUNCH The Gauteng City Region Economic Development Plan signals a shift from policy formulation to focused, implementation‑driven action. It establishes a coordinated provincial framework designed to accelerate inclusive growth, drive industrial expansion, and support job creation across the Gauteng City Region. By enhancing collaboration across the city region, the Plan strengthens alignment between provincial governments and municipalities through an integrated approach that affirms the position of Gauteng as the country’s primary economic engine. Additionally, we are equally launching industry-led Action Labs whose objective is to advance the Plan. With partnerships and collaboration with the private sector, academia and civil society signal, these Action Labs signal a move from state-centric implementation to collaborative governance using Sector Master Plans. #GrowingGautengTogether
