@sharrond62 @Starbucks Even if this were wider than that one outlet… They would be complying with their certification requirements. Halal-certification would allow them to pursue a revenue-generating market. They aren’t pandering Islam, they are capitalists.

@otokyo__ What kind of God would be so vindictive that discovering they are really is considered losing?

Dear atheist, What if, after you die, you find out that God is real all along? You lose.

@AndyCharlesII @piersmorgan If Farage were concerned about his wellbeing he’d pay for security himself, go somewhere else, or stop being an antagonising gobshite. Someone else offering £5m for his security implies an expectation for something in return. People with this money don’t give it away for free.

He’s very rattled about this and rightly so. It’s a scandal.

Nigel Farage told Sky's @BethRigby that he took a £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne in early 2024, before he announced he would stand for parliament, for 'protection'

@Edwina_Currie Edwina if your figures were right, everyone would go out and buy an EV On 7p/kWh Octopus Go tariff / 8,000 miles cost is £160 (3.5m/kWh) On petrol 155p/litre is £7/gallon. 8,000 miles is 200gallons =£1,400 Net saving is 1,400-160=£1,240 Still substantial but not £4,000

I’ve just worked out the cost of charging my EV (VW ID4) at home. In the last tax year it was about £700. I did 8,000 miles in it. The alternative would have cost around £4,000 at recent pump prices. It’s paying for itself … 👏👏👏😊😊😊

@CharleyWhiskers @Edwina_Currie because in the UK, on average, EVs are more expensive to insure. no one "thinks" that, figures show that. i know, as an EV zealot, it must be difficult to argue facts, but it s what it is.

@piersmorgan What has he to be rattled about? You know it is for his security. You can walk down the street and nobody would look at you twice. If Farage did the same, he would stand a good chance of being hurt or killed.

@saschatucker @MarkTu They do understand. What they struggle with is that there’s no vision for Britain after Starmer is out. Just like Brexit, a vote against being in the EU without a vision of where to go. Just ‘anywhere but here’.

@MarkTu The sheer volume of lefties here who don't seem to grasp that a landslide defeat for Labour under Starmers leadership will be the first step in getting him out is bizarre.

@drdavidbull No….they’ll charge the insurance companies who the public will have to pay to have health insurance in order to get access to NHS care. Either that or the NHS won’t exist anymore.

A Lefturd could come out of free surgery on the NHS under a Reform govt and still lie that you are going to be charged. Lies are all they have, if you disregard their politics of hate and envy that is.

If Rayner walked into my child’s class and lied to their face, I would be livid! That is shameless scaremongering targeting children. This is not politics, it’s child manipulation and it’s disgusting.
