DYK we’ve been about 20% of the City budget for the last 20+ yrs. Even though Vancouver’s pop has ⬆️ ~22% in the last 15 years & Metro Van’s pop has ⬆️ ~30%. Daily, we police ~ 300,000+ extra people who come into town to work, go to the game or as tourists. We deal with ~700 police calls for service a day or a new call every 2 minutes. Not willing to pull much needed resources from other neighbourhoods. #ContextMatters #FactsMatters
