It is insane to label young children as blasphemous for drawings in school. This is utterly wrong. Tolerance should never mean abandoning our values, and schools should be teaching those shared values, not policing or censoring art or music lessons. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

This is hilarious. The Green Party member almost had a panic attack and was in “unknown territory” after meeting a black woman who said that she would vote for Reform. I’ve had similar reactions, particularly at University when I was one of few visible right wingers.

The Free Speech Union
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion·
📣🚨The Free Speech Union is mounting a legal challenge against the Government over its official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as 'anti-Muslim hatred' — and its appointment of a new 'tsar' to punish people who fall foul of it. This amounts to a Muslim blasphemy law via the back door. The definition is vague and subjective, and will be weaponised to silence legitimate criticism and debate about Islam, Muslims, and Islamic practices and history. The FSU’s General Secretary, Lord Young of Acton, said: “This is the most serious threat to free speech the Government has come up with so far — the only area in which it’s achieving any success. “If we don’t win this fight, tens of thousands of people a year could lose their jobs at the say-so of a Labour-appointed ‘tsar’. It’s dystopian.” Public bodies will adopt this definition — despite it being non-statutory — with the same zeal the police have shown in investigating and recording non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs). It is predicted by one of the drafters of the definition that it could lead to around 20,000 reports of 'anti-Muslim hostility' a year. At present, the number of recorded anti-Muslim hate crimes is around 4,000. In a free society, no religion should be shielded from legitimate criticism. This proposal places one faith above the rest. The Free Speech Union is bringing a legal challenge on two grounds. First, the definition relies on nebulous, legally undefined terms such as “negative and prejudicial stereotyping of Muslims”, making it incoherent and irrational — and ripe for weaponisation. Second, adopting such a definition cuts across legislation already enacted by Parliament and therefore breaches the public law principle known as “occupying the field”. Under this established public law doctrine, new regulations, put in place by ministers, must not replace existing legislation. It is constitutionally unlawful. In this case, the body responsible for protecting Muslims from discrimination is the Equality and Human Rights Commission, not an anti-Muslim hostility 'tsar'. Parliament voted to abolish blasphemy laws 18 years ago. We can't let this Government resurrect them via the back door. This is one of the biggest battles the Free Speech Union has ever taken on in its six years — and we need your help. Judicial reviews are expensive, but this is a fight we felt we had to take on. Worth knowing that the Centre for Media Monitoring is funded by the Muslim Council of Britain. That doesn't automatically invalidate the findings, but it does mean the definition of "very biased" is their definition, not an independent one. Who set the criteria? How were they applied? Were the same standards used for outlets critical of other faiths? Then look at who's on the list. The Spectator, GB News, the Telegraph, the Jewish Chronicle. These are outlets that have reported on Islamist extremism, grooming gangs, sectarian bloc voting and Iranian terror plots on British soil. If that kind of reporting is what gets you classified as "very biased against Islam and Muslims" then this chart isn't really measuring Islamophobia. It's measuring which outlets won't stay quiet. The Jewish Chronicle's inclusion says it all. A newspaper that covers antisemitic attacks and Iranian agents surveilling British Jews is apparently one of Britain's most Islamophobic outlets. Make of that what you will. And this is exactly why the new anti-Muslim hostility definition matters so much. Once you let an advocacy group define what counts as bias, accurate and uncomfortable reporting becomes prejudice by definition. That's not protection from hatred. It's protection from scrutiny.

JUST IN: Ukraine just deployed anti-drone soldiers to Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The country Russia has been bombing with Iranian Shahed drones for three years is now defending Gulf states from the same Iranian Shahed drones. Read that sentence until the full geometry of this war becomes visible. Zelensky announced on 10th March that Ukrainian military teams equipped with low-cost interceptor drones and electronic warfare systems have arrived in all three Gulf states this week, with a separate team deployed to Jordan for US base protection. The deployment follows direct requests from Washington and calls from Gulf leaders, including Saudi Crown Prince MBS. The interceptors cost between $1,000 and $2,000 each. A Patriot missile costs $3 to $4 million. An Iron Dome Tamir interceptor costs $50,000 to $100,000. A Shahed drone costs $20,000 to $50,000. Ukraine’s battle-tested ramming drones, some 3D-printed and produced at rates of up to 950 per day, achieve over 60 to 70% kill rates against Shahed swarms at a thousandth of the cost of a Patriot. They are disposable. They are scalable. And they have been tested against the exact weapon system they are now deployed to counter, because Iran designed the Shahed and Russia has been launching them at Ukraine since 2022. No other country on Earth has more operational experience killing Shaheds than Ukraine. No other country can offer that expertise at this price. And no other country needs something from the United States as desperately as Ukraine needs Patriot batteries for its own survival. This is the quid pro quo nobody saw coming. Zelensky is not donating expertise. He is trading it. Ukrainian drone killers for American air defence missiles. Shahed interception capability for Patriot deliveries. The country that cannot defend its own power grid without Western systems is now defending Gulf oil infrastructure with indigenous technology cheaper than anything in the American arsenal. The leverage is extraordinary: Ukraine offers the one capability the Gulf urgently needs, at a cost the Pentagon cannot match, in exchange for the one capability Ukraine urgently needs and only Washington can provide. While the US strips THAAD and Patriot batteries from South Korea and ships them to the Gulf at enormous logistical cost, Ukraine arrives with $1,000 drones in cargo containers. While Ghalibaf mocks American escorts as PlayStation, Ukrainian teams set up electronic warfare jammers on Gulf airfields. While the White House blames a staffer for a deleted post about an escort that never happened, Ukraine delivers the capability the post falsely claimed existed. The Iran war just merged with the Russia war through the one weapon system they share: the Shahed drone. Designed in Iran. Manufactured for Russia. Launched against Ukraine for three years. Now launched against the Gulf. And intercepted in both theatres by the same Ukrainian operators using the same $1,000 technology. Iran built the drone. Russia scaled it. Ukraine learned to kill it. And now Ukraine is selling that knowledge to the countries Iran is attacking, funded by the country Russia is fighting. The circle is complete. The wars are one. Full analysis below. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

BREAKING: Iran has been supplying Russia with Shahed drones to kill Ukrainians since 2022. The Pentagon just asked Ukraine to help kill Iranian Shahed drones in the Gulf. That is not irony. That is the most elegant strategic reversal of this entire war. Here is the economics that made this conversation inevitable. One Iranian Shahed drone costs $30,000 to manufacture. One Patriot interceptor missile costs $1.5 million. For every dollar Iran spends building a drone, it costs the UAE $20 to $28 to shoot it down. Iran has tens of thousands of Shaheds. The Gulf states have a finite number of Patriot missiles and a finite production rate to replace them. That ratio is a slow-motion financial siege. Iran does not need to get through Gulf air defenses. It just needs to drain them faster than they can be replenished. Ukraine spent three years solving exactly this problem. When Russia began deploying Iranian Shaheds against Ukrainian cities in September 2022, Ukraine could not afford to burn $1.5 million missiles against $30,000 drones indefinitely. So Ukrainian engineers built something different. Interceptor drones. Small, fast, cheap, designed specifically to kill other drones at a fraction of the cost. The interception ratio is not 1:50. It is closer to 1:1. Drone kills drone. The economics invert. Ukraine went from being the world’s test laboratory for Iranian drone warfare to being the world’s leading expert in defeating it. And now the Pentagon, watching Gulf air defenses burn through interceptor stockpiles against Shahed swarms, has picked up the phone to Kyiv. The geopolitical architecture of this moment is worth sitting with. Iran armed Russia. Russia used those weapons to develop tactics. Ukraine defeated those tactics under fire and built countermeasures. The Gulf is now buying those countermeasures to defeat the original Iranian weapons. Tehran’s drone doctrine has completed a loop that ends with its own drones being hunted by technology born from fighting its own drones. That is not a footnote to this war. That is the war economy of the 21st century operating in real time. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

My Thoughts on Iran 🇮🇷 Initially anti-war, I voted for Trump in hopes of no wars. But through direct communication with Iranians in Iran and the diaspora over the past five years—closer since January 2026—I've become more educated on Iran's history. The Islamist theocracy has been in a de facto state of war against the US since 1979, fueling my call for an end to its 47-year oppression of women and acts of terror against the US and Middle East. My heart goes out to those suffering, living in a hellscape bombed directly, and for those diaspora who cannot reach and worry about their family and friends. However this pales in comparison to the greatest fear of most of the Iranian people - that this war will end with the Islamic Regime still in power. I support regime change by any means necessary, including targeted lethal force against oppressors with minimal civilian casualties. This urgency comes from atrocities, especially against children and women: - Over 1,200 schoolgirls deliberately poisoned in classrooms in 2023. - More than 1,077,000 child brides registered in eight years, including tens of thousands aged 10–14. - 44 children killed during the 2022–2023 Woman, Life, Freedom protests. - 118 more children killed in state violence since January 2023. - ~182 girls and women killed yearly in honor killings. - 975 state executions in a recent year, including juveniles. - 176 civilians, including children, killed in the 2020 IRGC plane downing. For decades, Iran's children have been poisoned, forced into marriage, shot, executed, imprisoned, and buried. Then there is direct acts of terrorism against the US and its allies: The IRGC and its proxies have been responsible for the deaths of over 1,000 Americans and thousands more worldwide through acts of terrorism since 1979. - '79-'81: US Embassy seizure in Tehran; 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. - '83: US Embassy bombing in Beirut; 63 dead, including 17 Americans. - '83: Hezbollah bombing of US Marine barracks in Beirut; 241 Americans killed. - '84: Kidnapping, 400+ days of torture and murder of CIA Chief William Buckley in Beirut. - '84: Hezbollah hijacking of Kuwait Airways Flight 221; 2 Americans killed. - '92: Assassins killed 4 Iranian-Kurdish dissidents in Berlin's Mykonos restaurant. - '92: Hezbollah bombing of Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires; 29 dead. - '94: Hezbollah bombing of AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires; 85 dead. - '96: Hezbollah bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia; 19 Americans killed. - '03-'11: Militias killed 603+ US troops in Iraq with EFPs and IEDs. - '07: Quds Force killed 5 Americans in Karbala, Iraq, disguised as US soldiers. - '20: Downed Ukraine Flight PS752 near Tehran; 176 killed. - '23: Hamas October 7 attack on Israel; 1,200+ killed. - '23-'24: Proxies attacked US forces in Middle East 180+ times; 3 Americans killed. These horrors are funded by regime corruption: Khamenei controls bonyads worth hundreds of billions, siphoning oil wealth for repression and terrorism. Poverty is weaponized to crush dissent, with billions embezzled—like $4.8B unaccounted for in 2018 alone. They seize assets from dissidents; use Bitcoin instead. Oppression, violence, and financial theft sustain this cycle—time for global action: sanctions, asset freezes, and most importantly direct military support for Iran's freedom. #FreeIran #IranMassacre #DigitalBlackOutIran #KingRezaPahlavi

🇮🇷Decado🇮🇷@ItsDecado

A close friend here in Tehran fought through a thousand layers of this digital blackout just to get a message to me. I am putting it here so the diaspora and the Western pundits can look it in the eye. They said: 'When I finally break through the blackout, I am greeted by people sitting safely outside, preaching their 'anti-war' worries. They cannot fathom that the mullahs slaughtered 40,000 of us in two days. We are being psychologically tortured by their moral grandstanding. Those of us inside this cage know that cutting out a cancer is going to hurt. We are willing to take that pain, because it is better to die once than to be tortured every single day. If this war stops and the regime survives, we are all dead anyway our execution dates just get moved up. From the Massacre of January until the first bombs fell, I cried every single day. When the strikes started, I was finally happy. But reading these 'anti-war' takes physically crushes me. It feels like a 100-kilo weight on my chest. It feels like these safe, comfortable people are grabbing me by the arms and handing me directly to the Islamic Republic to be raped. We are embracing the fire and the fear because this is our last chance to end the nightmare. And yet, your 'peace' posts multiply our terror a hundred thousand times over.' Hear us clearly. Silence the cowards who speak against this rescue mission. Every time you preach 'peace' while we are locked in with our butchers, you are pouring water directly into the regime’s mill.

Starmtroopers are trying to spin British dither and delay as a strategic masterstroke. Think about it for a second and you’ll see how nonsensical that is: 1. Trump was going to bomb the Ayatollah whether we let him use our bases or not. 2. We were going to see our assets attacked even if we forbade the Americans use of our bases. (We know that because that’s what happened.) 3. Letting the Americans take off from Diego Garcia would have been a zero cost choice relative to what we are seeing now. And it would have delivered significant benefits, keeping us in the room and in a position of influence. 4. Ensuring we had naval assets in the region as we had continuously from 1980-2025 would have put us in a better position, rather than playing catch up this week - and handing Macron the status of Protector of Cyprus. So what has our position achieved? 1. We did not stop the war, no matter how desirable that would have been. 2. We failed to convince the Islamic Republic that we were not involved, as they ordered their proxies to hit us anyway. 3. We pissed off the Americans by quadrupling their bombing raid flight time. 4. We are getting less of a hearing from the White House and DoW. 5. We left our people and assets exposed and undefended by our own navy.
Lewis Goodall@lewis_goodall

With every passing day, the decision of Starmer and his cabinet a) not to join the Iranian war b) to delay access to bases looks wiser and wiser. Trump’s press conference last night shows he has no real idea what the objectives are and its duration is arbitrary. And if it does endure the economic consequences may prove ruinous, something he would have had to own if he had backed the effort.

“Britain 2026, and I was pushed in front of a moving vehicle because I am a Jew.” This is the testimony of a man who was allegedly a victim of an appalling hate crime which occurred in North Finchley, London, this past weekend. Brian Harris, a successful Jewish music producer, said that he was thrown in front of a car by a man who shouted abuse towards him, including “F*** off you Jew, you should be dead.” Mr Harris said that he called the police after the man began shouting slurs such as “Heil Hitler”, “Death to all Jews”, “you are all c***s”, “you should die” and “you should all be buried” at him, before the physical assault reportedly occurred. The collision with the car is said to have left Mr Harris with severe bruises on his legs, although he thankfully did not require hospital treatment. According to the Metropolitan Police, no arrests have yet been made. thejc.com/news/uk/jewish…
