@RetroRGB @retroaccess Very cool, if using a hdretrovison cable would it be better to plug the audio into the adapter or the hdretrovision cables directly? Guessing it does not matter?

@skytechgaming Probably better off making a smaller sticker that only covers the HDMI port that's more difficult to remove. People will always take the lazy way out and plug it into the next port they see 😃

We spent a lot of time making that sticker just for people to ignore it

@jeffqchen I had these exact same cards back in 2007. The 7950 should be ok when it comes to ram issues. It would be worth fixing up. It was the 7900 cards that would die constantly. (I prob rma my 7900 8 times back in the day) 🤣

Also found many broken caps on the back, plus one PCIE channel cap trying to break off. Someone really roughed this one. And this won’t be an easy fix🫠

Finishing up with a PS2 Retro Gem install today that was giving me issues for longer than I like to admit. Long story continues in the comments but it began with the console arriving after the customer’s attempted install, and I removed the flex cable to verify working condition

@RSDCDN 4.9 is the latest fw for hardware 1. Just tested mine and it connects fine with no updates. The wifi signal isn't great. Expecially with a Gdemu and a 56k modem installed. Make sure your wifi settings are correct as well.

Just might be the one and only case where I have absolutely no problem with a sort of (not really) still commercially available game being pirated. With the release of the source code for the modified Genesis Plus GX core (which is necessary to play the ROM), there's a chance we may be able to enjoy Paprium on the likes of MiSTer, MegaSD, or Mega Everdrive Pro one day too. And hell, who knows... maybe @IanMicheal10 will build one of his super-optimized emulator discs for Dreamcast! Of course, massive credit to the people responsible for reverse-engineering and hacking this game into mass-audience existence... • hostile (aka ArcadeHustle, lead of Project @LittleManDumps): Tore the cartridge apart, voltage-glitched the STM32F4, dumped the flash, audio, sprites, and documented everything in the WatermelonPapriumDump repo. His work supplied the raw data the later emulator patchers needed. • MAVProxyUser (@d0tslash): Designed ChipWhisperer adapters to pull the STM32 firmware, then wrote/merged the code that adds Paprium hardware emulation (MP3 streaming, extra audio channels, cartridge mapper) to Genesis Plus GX. Released the custom RetroArch core and opened the pull request that everyone is downloading. • @The_Hpman: Reverse-engineered the Paprium mini-game and first proved the game could boot in MAME by faking the STM32 handshake. His disassembly logs became the blueprint for the full dump.
